I installed this system on my 2024 road glide and it worked great for 2 days now my bike had the load shed light come on and now my radio will only turn up 30% any suggestions I took it to my dealer but wasn’t sure if anyone had this problem yet. Also the charging system is not charging right according to the battery gage

Load Shedding on Skyline OS has thrown a lot of people for a loop. It triggers when the battery voltage dips to around 12.3 VDC. We actually had this happen when filming the amplifier installation video and realized somebody disconnected our Battery Tender (we were filming with the bike on for quite some time). We reconnected the trickle charger and after it charged back up, everything began working as normal.

@@rockfordfosgate they called me today said it was some kind of dc wiring harness I will let them know what you said hopefully you are right. Are they trying to resolve this issue

Brand new CVO ST same thing happening, I took in for 1000 miles service when it was returned no sound from speakers

I apologize for the inconvenience. Try to remove the fuse, wait about 30 seconds, then plug it back in. It may force Skyline OS to reboot and load properly. If still no output, the dealer should be able to get you working again as H-D is aware of the issue.

There is a service bulletin for that issue. Harley dealership will update your skyline OS.. unfortunately is only dealership with access to download the update. Is a issue with 2023 road glide st cvo and all 2024 road glide /street glide with the skyline OS radio. Is not the Rockfordfosgate product causing this. For some the fuse removal for 30 second work. In some case it does not fix the issue I am waiting for the right time to get this product they are the best system in the market. They have never let me down. Thank you for what you guys do!!

yeah my 24 SG has done this once , next day i went to take it to the dealer and it started working again .. not impressed with the skyline OS or the factory radio/speakers in this bike ... i spent an awful lot of money on this to be so unimpressed

@@Hard_Right The dealer likely did a Skyline OS update to resolve early issues. If you're having a hard time hearing the audio system and you're a taller rider, the air deflector on the 24 SG & RG is much lower than the Rushmore bikes, causing significantly more air to hit your face & ears. If this is happening, we recommend a higher visor to create more of a "bubble" so the air is deflected up and over the rider's position.

@@rockfordfosgate no , I never took it to the dealer , one day it wasn't working the next day when i got ready to take it it started working again but it still takes a long time to load sometimes and the bluetooth connection is very spotty and cuts in and out . this is my first harley i guess im just used to japanese motorcycle reliability

When added my fairing speaker it says cleaner configuration is disabled?

The message above shows "cleaner configuration" ... this must be damn autocorrect .... are you referring to the "speaker configuration"? Harley-Davidson has a warning that the speaker configuration will be disabled if the amplifier isn't done at the same time. To take advantage of the higher performing Stage I and Stage II speakers, the factory equipped amplifier should be replaced with the larger 500W Primary Amplifier (P/N #76001294 www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/harley-davidson-audio-powered-by-rockford-fosgate-primary-amplifier-500w/p/76001294

Just bought the kit and a brand new 2024 road glide. The speaker config option is disabled from the factory..

If you installed the amplifier already and it’s not being recognized, please have your H-D dealership do an update to the Skyline OS. This is an issue HD is working on with Skyline that has nothing to do with the audio.

@@rockfordfosgate I installed the front speakers only, I have the amp and rear speakers as well to install tomorrow. Does the speaker configuration not become available in the menu until you install the new amp?

@@kntmarecobraHmm, if you already installed the amplifier, this is likely a Skyline OS issue like I originally thought. Again, See your H-D dealership for an update that should restore this menu for you.

UPDATE: Harley-Davidson has implemented a warning that the speaker configuration is disabled, so the amplifier must be done at the same time when upgrading the new Stage I or Stage II speakers.

I have a brand new 24 RG. The radio is on but no sound is coming from the speakers. Is there something that needs to be configured? Completely insane for a brand new bike

Sounds like someone rerouted the audio. Press GEAR > SOUND SETTINGS > AUDIO ROUTING and see if the audio is being routed to a headset instead of the speakers.

Same thin happened on my 24, I ended up having to pull the main fuse. After I reinstalled it all worked again.

did you just install speakers only and using the new amp that is in the bike this year. if so how is the sound?

Will the stage 1 speakers work without the amp

Will it work? Technically, Yes. However, we do recommend using the larger amplifier to take advantage of the improved sound quality and have louder output for highway riding.
