I agree with you, I had the 2021 Denali with the 6.2, I traded for this exact truck for the 6 seater. I'm loving this one more and more. That engine is amazing.

I have a 22’ Elevation with the 3.0L and I love it. Vehicles are a rolling liability so I’m not dropping $70-90k. Also with the elevation package I don’t have to do the black out on all the chrome.

This is definitely my dream truck.

Very nice color, makes the design look better. And such a nice departure from the cliche black that 95% trucks are ordered with.

Built and Ordered mine, should be here in 7-8 weeks. I put about 2k miles every 2 months on my trucks, this WAS and IS more affordable for a Diesel, I researched the hell out of options out there. Overall this IS the best choice to meet at least our company needs. Looking forward to it. Great job as always Ben

I just bought that exact truck same colour. Traded my 2021 Denali, I needed the 6 seater. I must say I love this truck, fun to drive and super economical. Affordable…nothing is affordable anymore.

I'm in the process of looking at this exact same truck love the 3.0 duramax right now. But it's frustrating you can't get the cooled seats in this package. Or even heated rear seats in the back. Almost every other truck package out there. You can get heated seats in back and cooled in front for the same price with better towing capability! Have to go to the slt or at4. But then you have to get all the Chrome. Deleted and blacked out drives me nuts. Offer a black package in every package.!

I like it but $65K without leather is absurd. I can’t believe manufacturers are getting away with these way over inflated prices. People are happy they are no longer adding additional markups over MSRP. But what they don’t realize is they just over inflated the MSRP to what dealers were marking them up too. EVERY manufacturer Ford, Chevy, GMC, RAM, Toyota has their trucks $10k higher than what MSRP should be BEFORE negotiations.

Blame politics, unions and the EPA. If people weren't buying these at these price the manufacturer wouldn't be selling them at these price.

@@notme3184 exactly! If people would delay gratification and just wait, we all would benefit! True prices would drop back to what they were normally were. Unfortunately you have people willing to blindly pay, so manufacturers and dealers aren't dropping the price quick enough.

That 3.0 duramax is so good hope they keep that engine alive. Good mpg good hauling yeah that engine must stay.

Hopefully GM has figured out the emissions system. My work truck, a 2018 Chevy Duramax with 140000 miles has spent around 6 months total at the dealership this year and during that time my company has spent around $20k trying to fix it. Other vehicles in our fleet have had similar issues.

It’s stupid to buy a post emissions restriction era diesel and not delete it. You cant fix dumping your exhaust back into your intake (egr) and completely choke your engine from exhaust flow (dpf) causing excessive blow by and soot build up in your oil. Must delete and tune all diesels unfortunately and it doesn’t help to live in a state that requires smog

I get that it’s a new truck but for $64k I’d rather get myself a nice pre owned fully loaded late model truck like a High Country or Denali

lol affordable - my friend ordered a silverado with the 3.0L diesel - took over a year to come in and they raised the price and lowered value of his trade in -the difference was an extra 20k - these things shouldn't be costing more than 50-60k 80-100k is just stupid these days

Insane how much the car market has inflated. I had a fully loaded trailboss that I leased 6.2 LT, going to an elevation now to keep my payments the same. My trailboss is a 2023 for a 2024 elevation same payments… it’s absurd!

It's a nice truck , I would buy it cuz I don't like leather seats.

The Elevation is the best value in GM 1500s but I prefer to get one already painted.

auto start stop on a diesel? How do you get rid of that, that would be the last thing needed on this truck.

These are the best looking of the American trucks IMO. You usually have to go with some unnecessary off-road trim to get trucks looking good IMO. Or the super expensive luxury trims if you like the sleek road look. With the upgraded interior and slick exterior plus the diesel all for roughly $50k range is a hell of a deal IMO. I have a 2018 Toyota Tundra SR5 and am kind of over it. It’s pretty plain Jane and gets 13mpg average. This GMC looks way better IMO and that Diesel would save me $15k in fuel costs in 100k miles at current prices. Plus the extra tow capacity is certainly welcome. I think I might just trade in. For some reason these Toyotas hold their value which is nice. But damn I can’t see a reason to keep it when I can get a brand new more capable, full warranty truck that will break even on cost within 5 years.

I said the same about my 4Runner. They refuse to juice it up...or give it better economy.

A friend of mine bought a 2023 AT4. Engine failed at 5,000 miles, they gave him another truck. I wanted to get an Elevation, but I’ve heard so many problems on GMC Sierra. Might have to get a Nissan Titan.

Nissan Titan is like a 10 year old design and it’s a gas guzzling V8. Why on Earth anyone would make that choice is beyond me. These engines are revised from just a year ago. They have a 5 year power train warranty. You save tons of money just with the mileage. Titan gets like 13-14mpg. The 3.0L duramax gets 27 average from what I’ve seen. But to each their own. Maybe consider a Toyota over a Nissan though. At least they updated the Tundra recently.

@@danielmedrano4694 It's 3yr/36m bumper to bumper and 5yr/60m powertrain for GM. At least the GMC trucks. I actually have a 2018 Toyota Tundra with the 5.7L V8. It's fine and reliable but the gas mileage is so bad that I'm strongly considering buying one of these GMC Sierra with the 3.0L Diesel. Get all the new features, nicer truck, better capability, 2x better mileage and a full warranty on a 0 miles truck for ~$20k more than a 100k Tundra seems pretty reasonable to me (tundra worth about $30k). But man I would not even consider one of those gas guzzling Nissan's right now. It's wild that those trucks aren't discounted a ton. Maybe if they were like 40% off. Anyway, good luck.

I want a stripped down model that's affordable in the $40,000. Gray is nice. It's America we want a V-8.

That's a very nice $45,000 truck! I'm still not buying into the price hikes that automakers blamed on covid chip shortages. Inventory is back to normal levels, prices should have come back down by now!

I just bought my 2024 1500 Duramax last week. 1 week later 490 miles in the new truck, truck failed. No start, no crank, only lights & service needed on all serviceable alerts. Towed to dealer, will see what they say after they find issue, can be several days.

​@muchogracious1557 yes, it turned out to be ECM, tgey replaced it. They stated that it wasn't communicating with the ECU I guess?

I got the top of the line Elevation and it was 68k 2024

Affordable? GMC has a 2 year history of bad censors for the diesel, no replacement censor can be found in the US. Purchased a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD AT4 on 10/31/23, drove it home. Next day, check engine light came on, censor went bad after 163 miles. Today is 12/2/23, still sitting at dealer for replacement censor. As I was told, not our problem, that’s between you and GMC…mGreat to be part of the GMC family as they say. Spends more time at the dealer then on the road

Look into lemon law if it’s at the dealership for 30+ days then you can sue with lemon law and either get your money back or they replace your vehicle with a new one

Makes you think the EPA is paying off these KZreadrs to push anything but V8s. By push I mean give this smaller displacement engines more hype than the v8s. Mind you Ben hardy has like 3 v8 vehicles, but ok.

Junk, why purchase an experiment. I have owned v8 powerstrokes and duramax and all new truck are junk can't imagine these 4 cylinders.
