I think the difference between both bikes is the ride-feeling. And I think in the FUTURE carbon bikes will be kind of realy cheap because after setted up the moulds for a model any frame cost cents in production. Use and throw away.

Should I purchase this bike or buy the specialised SL8 Sport 105 2024? Please help

Go with the 2024 Giant Defy Advanced 1. It has Shimano 105 Di2 electronic groupset.

This Canyon isn't available anymore. It will be better comparison with new Canyon Endurace CF SLX 7 Di 2.

This bike seems to have increased in price to $4300

I was eagerly awaiting the 2024 Defy to update my 2015 Defy Adv Pro. But Giant have ruined it... Made the geometry more TCR like which is no good for regular riders. And they have moved to the bloody dumb cables through the headset, which just ruins shift quality and looks stupid.

@@rodcosta2345Do you not know how cables work…? Perhaps not if you’re a roadie that doesn’t do their own maintenance… Long story short, cables work best routed in simple large arcs. Subjecting them to unnecessary and numerous tight bends causes the cable to bind, increasing shift effort and decreasing sensitivity.
