The focus of the video was on the scholarships that were obtainable and not application fees. You’ll pay application fees when you apply for admission.

Hello Ada, Thank you for the helpful video. I wanted to point out that according to Waterloo University's website, the tuition fees to study in the Faculty of Science are approximately $50,000 CAD for two terms. Therefore, I don't believe that the scholarships offered at Waterloo University will cover everything.

It may not cover everything, but it will cover something which is better than nothing at all. If you’re not interested in Waterloo, you could look towards the University of Alberta for their merit scholarships.

@@adacanada That's right. I have another question in mind, which is whether or not the entrance scholarship offered at the University of Calgary is automatic (meaning I don't have to apply for them as long as I'm applying for admission).

if i knew about alberta uni a bit earlier than the deadline wouldn't have passed

Hi Ada, nice hearing from you. Pls, just for clarity, i thought when we see online heading like FULLY FUNDED SCHOLARSHIP, I think the student would not pay any tuition fee at all. But as i go through it, its part payment not fully funded. Also, can my family come along with me as a student? Tanks

I’m not sure. If you are a successful recipient, the scholarship will outline what is covered and you’ll be notified of what is covered and what isn’t.

The proof of funds is mandatory for study visa. There must be funds in the account when applying for the visa

No. These scholarships are attached to the school. So you have to apply to the school or be a student at that particular school to receive the scholarship

The UManitoba graduate scholarship offers $14,000 per year for a 2-year research-based masters degree. It should cover your tuition and then some, but I’m not sure it covers your living expenses completely.
