New dash looks like it’s out of a Hyundai/Kia. V8 sounds great though. Exterior pretty sharp.

They’re all doing that crap. Even the higher end stuff like Caddy and BMW. It looks so tacky to me, like they didn’t even try at all. I liked the old setup they had with the center infotainment and the digital gauge cluster. Looked so much better.

I just love the sound of that 5.0L, the only thing about the new Mustang is the lack of a good interior, that giant touchscreen looks ridiculous and the lack of physical controls really cheapens this interior. Paying almost 60k for a two seater sports car, I would be expecting a more premium looking interior, but there's a lot of plastic inside the new mustang, doesnt look very high quality especially for 60k.

60k is the darkhorse base gt’s can be had for sub 45k. Even still at that price point the lack of the tremec 6spd in 2024 as standard is a dealbreaker for me, especially when gt350’s can be had for less than a darkhorse as well as mach 1’s

@@Andrew-zx9wx that’s exactly what I mean, with the Camaro and Challenger being discontinued, the Mustang is kinda supposed to compete with the likes of the M2, Toyota Supra, Lexus IS500, the difference is those competitors offer similar or better performance and a nicer interior for a similar price.

Mustang is about to fall into the same issue they had after its competitors retired the first time, pure laziness. They should really go all in with the sports car identity for it, make a new chassis, have a smaller footprint too.

That's definitely in my future, but I need a spare tire! I hope they get rid of that dash and bring back the dual cowel.

I don`t understand this industry copy paste dashboard... 2 screens like in an Mercedes S Class on a sports car like Ford Mustang... for me, this superficial "design" is not growing over the time.. I`m ok with technology, but in my opinion this is just lazy design..

I'll have my 2020 paid off this year. Hmm, it's very tempting.

The screens are what most people want, that’s why you see them everywhere now. I prefer physical controls for major functions. I feel like the technology is going to break down the line in vehicles like this.

User error, I can confirm the screen is as, if not more intuitive then most cars.

Whoever doesn't buy this car in manual is crazy.

I really dislike how every manufacturer just puts a big rectangle in the middle of the car with no design whatsoever. The curves in old dashboards gave them a good nice look but now everything is just a big boring rectangle.

Your Boss 13 302 is one of my favorite test drive videos man, esp for the Mustang. Been watching that one off and on for the last 10 years or so. The new 5.0 is nice, but screens got me.

Looks wild to me for such a high end interior to have a manual transmission 😆

As someone accustomed to driving an SUV, with a more-vertical windshield, the slanted windshield and perpetual reflection of the dash-top would drive me crazy. I would definitely apply a less-reflective, black dash-top covering of some sort.

Why does the dashboard looks likw Geely Okavango/ HAOYUE?

Ford really screwed owners of 24' GT 5.0 manual that do not get the Perf Pack. For 24' only the GTs with Perf Pack and Dark horse have the oil cooler. When one does consistent simple and or hard pulls the oil temp raises to high levels and that's engine breakdown waiting to happen. The fix would have to be bringing it back to the dealer and paying them to install OEM oil cooler which is approx $140 for the parts plus labor.

I think I'm there, too. Drove a new one in 2020 and I liked the styling better. I don't think much of that large screen, either.

Throwing away decades of nice tradition with the "double brow" dashboard, just to have a pointless screen there instead, just makes me angry.

Sounds like a video game, completely synthetic. And second gear goes up to like 80? What's the point of a manual if you can just keep it in 2nd everywhere? The gearing is way too tall.

Timing will never be right. It's up to you to make room for it. What will you say when you retire? The timing isn't right right now. And then you realize that if you tried a little bit, you could have had the car the whole time. I'm not trying to criticize or anything. I just know that things happen after you shift a gear in your head. They don't usually happen on their own. Just think about it.

What's with all the grinding and clunking noises around 9:20? Didn't look like you were shifting. Was that the diff?

There's something on the road he was driving over. Some yellow (I guess metallic) plate or panel covering something. There are more of them on that road.

The section said, "spirited driving", but you short-shifted the entire time. My grandmother would push the car harder.
