I lived and worked in the UAE, specifically Dubai and Sharjah in the nineties. It was fantastic back then. Now it's a playground for the rich and too westernised and materialistic. I still enjoy going back and seeing friends but it has lost a lot of its soul by becoming a tourist destination.

Ya I used to think that Arabs were materialistic showoff. But in reality these white western people are the real show off .

Hey Mabel, love your vids - theyve been helping me visualise life in the UAE coming from Australia. I got so excited about the prospect of moving and then I spoke to my mums friend who is some CFO of the UAE Welfare Fund investment stuff so she’s hot shot lawyer doing investment stuff. I am a first year lawyer in Australia and she made me feel like its impossible to just be a normal lawyer coming to UAE in the sense that id have to be exceptionally high achieving, super network-y, get in through word of mouth, and that there are thousands of ppl after the one job I’d want. Do you have any expat lawyer friends? Are my chances really that slim?

Hey! Thank you for watching! I have a friend of a friend who is a lawyer and she is early twenties. My guess would he that there a lot of legal jobs for businesses rather than typical lawyer roles but best thing to do it join some expat Facebook groups and ask if there’s any lawyers you can chat to on there!

Thank you for watching! We looked at Binghatti apartments and we found them all to be nice and modern, there is a lot of Binghatti buildings. Also bloom tower is nice and modern too

Hey! There is fantastic doctors here and I recommend Medcare clinics or kings college. It will really depend but it could cost 200-400 for your appointment

Hi! It really depends they are very different cities. I think Dubai is a better lifestyle personally but it truly depends ❤️

JVC was trash area! JVT JVC… when summer full of storms…. Sand storms… DUBAI HILLS now rental is AED 10k per month for one bedroom…. Two BR 20k at least, we left Dubai because it was crazy. Back to the UK is better
