I appreciate you bringing car seats and showing how they fit into the vehicle. It really shows how usable (or not) the second row can be for families.

There is something I don’t understand about the car industry . Are they aware that most people who want midsize suv have family and mostly young kids ?????? And if anything would rather have bench seats in all the trims ???? To easily access their kids ….. like captain is mostly for teenagers to adults but majority of buyers of such cars have younger kids and are looking for cars with more seats without having to loose on which trim they can choose. I just don’t get it.

I have 2 kids and I dont want a bench seat at all. I hate them. I always want to move the chairs around and go in through the middle. Bench seats to me look cheap and remind me of vans, which if you're buying an SUV, you're avoiding the van.

I’m really glad they listened to you regarding the head rest. The whole vehicle looks incredible and the new power train is a interesting match! I can’t wait to see how reliable it is. That Z71 version though…. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Right? We have an old 2001 Suburban and it doesn't have a middle position headrest in the 3rd row :-( It's time to replace that old 12 mpg beast with maybe one of these.

​@mattnorman5241 I've owned a Hyundai Accent, which was a piece of crap that needed a new transmission at 80,000 miles. I've owned a Mazda 3, which made it to 106,000 before I needed to upgrade to something bigger. I have a Chevy Malibu with 186,000 miles that has needed oil changes and the A/C compressor needed to be changed. GM is just fine. You are a weird dude.

@@mattnorman5241 I'm at 285,000 miles on my 2004 Silverado with the original engine and transmission. Held up a lot better than my Honda with half the miles.

Seems like GM/Chevy is letting a lot of folks have access to review and promote these 2 new 2024 traverse's. I've watched others and they are decent but I def appreciated your showing more in depth on how much space someone might have in each row with you being super tall... Also my wife and I have an infant so we can appreciate your showing that a rear facing baby seat fits and using the baby seat to show how much space there is in each area for comparison.... good stuff! Pretty sure we are gonna get this when it comes out in 2024 to add to our fleet of vehicles.

I would love to see you do a review on the middle to lower trim levels. Since those trims are what most customers would purchase. This model looks like Chevy watches your videos. Lol. Everything looks perfect. Car seat tilt on BOTH sides?! And middle headrests 🙌🏼 perfect

The only thing that I am disappointed it does not have is the sunshades! As a mom and current Telluride driver this is one of my favorite features hands down. I just love how they look and they are so functional. Other than that they did an excellent job!

Pleasantly surprised by the all the space and amenities. The only thing this vehicle is missing is amber turn signals on the rear. Great review Kelly. Keep them coming.

I have a question about the tilt access for the 3rd row....if you are using the seatbelt in the ratcheting feature to secure your car seat, how would that 3rd assist work?

Looks great, I'm loving the usable cargo space behind 3rd row, the angled and huge infotainment is awesome, and being able to move the second row forward when sitting in the 3rd row is a nice touch. Not a fan of the turbo 4 (but snazzy exhaust), gloss infotainment due to glare, lack of door storage, and rear quarter window/panel design, though.

This is perfect! It’s everything I need as a mom!!!

Agreed. GM is really scoring touchdowns with its designs lately. Good review.

I currently drive a 2013 Traverse that I bought new. It has been the best car I've ever had. Considered getting a new one this year but I am so glad I didn't, because they have totally fixed the very few complaints I had about mine for 2024. Can't wait to test drive one of these!

OMG I was waiting for you to point out whether there was a middle head restraint. So satisfying!! Still disappointed with the no sunshades, come on GM. Can't even get them on Cadillacs. I would go get this new Traverse this fall because my lease is ending, but its not supposed to be available until early '24, super bummer. That rear cargo space behind the 3rd row is amazing. OMG I want one, and I've never been a fan of any GM's before.

I have (and love) a 2018 Traverse but this one fixes all my annoyances and then some! She’s freaking gorgeous!!

@@NWI_Steel lack of decent cup holders in the front, very small outdated infotainment screen, lack of third row middle head rest, lack of tech/safety features like the seatbelt alarm. The 2024 has amazing and much needed upgrades

Great review, and great new vehicle - from Chevy no less?! I need one of these 3-row unibody vehicles and am waiting for the Grand Highlander to show up in the reviewer's fleet. Also on the list is 2023 Pilot Elite. And now maybe this! Love to see you go over the highs and lows of each of these at some point down the road. Thank you.

@@simple610 Agreed, the lack of 2nd-row sunshades in the Traverse is an odd omission. And I really dislike the weird obstruction in the window behind the C pillar. It's unique, but unique BAD in my book :-)

Love the new look!!! Definitely top 4 in terms of looks, probably my favorite. The other 3 being the VW Atlas, Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade IMO.

I was looking at the 2024 VW Atlas...but the 2nd row vents are a disappointment.

What is the 2nd row bench seat going to look like? Still car seat tilt on both sides? Not sure how they would do it unless all 3 seats are separate. Would love to see a 40/20/40 instead of 60/40.

It's stunning and full of features, making me confused about which one to prefer, this or the Toyota Grand Highlander... It would be perfect if they would fit a cooler in that huge arm rest and way to go GM for finally realizing that the middle passenger too needs a head rest 👌🏼👍🏻

Same here. Was sold on the GH until I saw this vehicle! Waiting to see what small feature upgrades Honda does with the Pilot too. They missed on some things for the 23’ redesign. This Traverse was not even on my list to buy, but now tied with the Grand Highlander

The Tahoe was just redone a couple years ago. You will have to wait a few years for another redesign.

Firstly: your channel is amazing. I could care less about engine specs. Does the water bottle fit? Does a car seat fit? That’s what matters in real life. Was thinking of an Atlas next but VW electronic issues have driven me crazy in 4 cars… was thinking maybe Tahoe but didn’t wanna deal with gas and parking… maybe this is the answer 🤔

@the_car_mom Are the second row head rests removable if need be? Wondering cause I’m ordering the new poplar s car seat and the only con I could really find on the seat is that installment may be an issue if headrests aren’t removable in certain vehicles.

My opinion on the exterior? I really hate it. I also see that GM still fails to properly design the rear signals (turn signals should *not* be combined with the brake lights and should be amber). I also don't like the dash. Much prefer a real gauge cluster. Also prefer mechanical controls in the radio/climate panel. Additionally, a turbocharged engine, especially an inline four in such a large vehicle, is a hard pass for me. Heated steering wheel's a nice touch, though! Cargo area's also quite nice!

Sorry if this is a dumb question. When my kids in third row need to get out, I see the second row seat with car seats move out. The babies in car seats are still secure and not tilted forward? I’m asking bc I drop off big kids but have babies too staying behind with me.

Yes, been waiting for larger mid size. I loved my Yukon but too big now that my kids are driving on own. Still want smaller road trip car. Does it take premium gas?

I want to say something. This is not just for you. I have watched other car channels regarding similar vehicle. You are the first one who actually jump in the third row. Thank you for giving your opinion. My concern was none of the car channels actually said actually space in cubic cm. Not for the cargo, not for the third row at all. only thing i noticed they lay down all the seats and said it will give you 97 cubic cm space with all rows down. I mean come on. Not sure Chevy actually told these channels not to give actually numbers for the cargo space behind the third row and leg space in the third row. You guys can watch every other review for 2024 Chevrolet Traverse. Like i mentioned before, you did more and better than other KZreadrs.

I love the redesign, but from the research I have done, it seems as though on the RS the only interior option is the black with red. I won't buy a car with a black interior. Chevy needs to have at least another option.

As a mother of an adult son with special needs that need to ride with a semi reclined seat I find it disappointing that rarely on reviews do they show how far back the second row seats recline. I had to go to a dealer to check out for myself how far back they reclined. Sadly the 2023 Traverse had only a slight recline. Do you know if they have improved that on the 2024?

I love it's style. Full digit display. Even the 2024 cadillac xt5 still has analog. The gear shifter is like the Mercedes.

When will 2024s be available? What's top of the line bells n whistles cost?

For the bench trims can you fit three seats across? Rear forward and a booster?

The only thing i don’t like is that wedge over the 3rd row windows. I think it’s an eye sore and creates a blind spot and then the people in the 3rd row can’t see outside. Otherwise I love the new redesign. I hope they change the wedge on next years model

2024 Acadia or 2024 traverse? I saw both reviews… how is your space in the traverse in 3rd row? It seems you had less room in the Acadia… is this because it offered more room in second row? I love both reviews but you seem more excited of the traverse. I have 3 kiddos as well. Thank you!

But how is the timing chain issue. I love the look and size but only issue these have always had is the timing chain breaking around 100k miles and it’s costly to repair. Worried about dependability

They put the 2.5 turbo 4 in it. 315 HP and 317 lb ft torque. Cab two up to 5,000 lbs. Carplay and android auto are wireless.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this car, and when I seen the panoramic sunroof my love for the traverse shot up significantly!!! Because before GM just said what ever to the midsize suvs and kept the 2 singular sunroofs🙄
