We have a 2020 LT approaching 60,000 miles and are happy with it. No significant issues. I’m not overwhelmed by the 1.5 turbo but the exterior design has aged well and these can be found for a decent price.

For the money, is not a bad option. I used to drive an Equinox with this drivetrain and performed well. Chevy should make a mild redesign and keep the cost low.

I had a 2013 2.5 Malibu, sold it at 120k - I had loads of issues (all 4 wheel bearings, 2 bad water pumps, bad alternator, faulty heater core, rusted lower oil pan that I replaced, cam solenoids, air bag light, and random check engine lights that came and went) - hopefully this one is better built and has quality to it, the last gen was horrible (I changed my oil every 4k and was very easy on the car throughout ownership)

I got a 2022 LT and I’m liking it so far. The acceleration is underwhelming, but I’m not trying to drive fast. It’s a clean, simple car. The only major complaint I have so far is the shift to park issue when turning the car off. It’s really annoying. Other than that I threw some tint and black rims on it and am making it work.

The thing with the Malibu is that you never know what model year it’s from. Could be a 2024 or a 2015. They all have looked the same for 10+ years imo. $27K and you don’t even have LED headlights or brake lights? The dash looks like it’s stuck in the early 2010’s apart from the small center screen. No full digital dash or at least a half digital. My 24’ Civic sport has those features and more for the same price point lol

Id never own another AWD car and I live in MN. Its not worth the extra cost, worse mpg, and the cost to replace it down the road when it needs fixing. FWD is very adequate unless you live off some country road, but at that point, a cars very low clearance will get you stuck anyway.

At this point the Chevy has nothing to offer. As far as reliability...........hands down yes! But the other car makers have passed Chevy buy a lot. They offer more features, same if not better comfort, better looking interior and exterior. Chevy has been basic selling basic cars hiding behind the "we are the American car brand" which since the 90's equals TRASH!!!! They been trash since the 90's. The interior is blah, exterior is blah and I hate to see this. I want more from them and I don't think they care anymore because they care more about the corvette then anything and that is all. Go look at Kia, Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota, and Honda and tell me they have not passed Chevy. Hell Chrysler was dragging Chevy when the Hemi came out. Went car shopping and went to Chevy first and left and came home with a Hyundai Sonata!
