2024 Cadillac XT4 Review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Cadillac is going all electric, but not quite yet. First, there's a refreshed version of the 2024 XT4 subcompact luxury crossover. But maybe "luxury" should be in quotes, because while there are a lot of premium features in this car, it's far from opulent. So let's poke around and see how the XT4 compares to the BMW X1, Audi Q3, and more.

Bro you are harsh on every vehicle. This vehicle is the 2nd best selling vehicle in its class. The refresh that Cadillac gave this vehicle immediately pushes it towards the front of the segment. Cadillac offers ventilated seats in a subcompact!!! This vehicle is very attractive, appropriately priced, and has shown to be a best seller. I don’t think you did the baby Caddy any justice 😢

Heated, ventilated, massage seats, and heated rear seats? How the hell is anybody complaining about this feature set in a subcompact? This is an amazing value, no matter where on the price ladder you are. What the reviewer sees as too many price points that walk you up to get a luxury car - what a car buyer sees is the choice and option to pick and choose what they want to reduce the price. I think Cadillac has a real winner here, and I am certainly taking a hard look at it. I *want* a small SUV, the way people want a small iPhone. That doesn't mean I want one with less features. I want my cake and eat it too!

would you take this over a BMW or Mercedes, now Cadillac is usually more reliable, but a BMW or Mercedes can last a long time if you know what you're doing.

@@Jeymez I did. I actually bought one over both Mercedes and BMW, after driving both. The price is much better on these used, and the feature set is unparallelled. The problem that I had, was finding one with the right options set. The bulk of these are the "Premium Luxury" trim that doesn't come with all the options. I was also surprised to find that the Sport, the highest trim, does not come with all options, the base level of that trim can be worse than the highest Premium Luxury trim, which was weird.

@rapidrabbit11485 BMW is usually the better option to go for a sport trim, but BMW rarely uses that name as a trim, since most BMW's are sporty in general. but there are some you can find that strike a balance between comfort and performance. the Cadillac is nice, but their sport trim options can leave you disappointed slightly. still if you bought one over the competition, it obviously checked all the boxes for you. now Mercedes tends to have more variety when it comes to trim options than BMW, but Mercedes doesn't tend to fair well in the suv crossover market. in my area for example i see alot of BMW X1's or X3's, on occasion ill see the Mercedes version of that. Lexus has the RX, and then there's also the NX that alot of people get mixed up alot.

They mentioned at the end of December that they are pausing, or slowing, the EV development. One thing that will translate into is that we will now get the revised XT5. It was to be discontinued after the 24my, but now we will get the all new one for the 25my by the end of this year. That new one was only going to be for China and therefore built in China. Hopefully, since we will now get it here, they will continue to build ours in Chattanooga.

The US isn't ready for cross country EV use... infrastructure isn't there. EVs are fine as a 2nd car for everyday in town use, but as an only car or driving cross country in an EV is a major pain. Right now, Hybrids are the way to go... HEV or PHEV, both are better options than ICE. I drive a Tucson Hybrid, 37mpg, I pass gas stations all the time, don't need to fill up much, bigger than this Caddy with just as much tech for less. With s Hybrid you can drive across country and fill up with gas just like an ICE... except less often.

@@r.m.s.605 how? Where do I begin? The xt4 looks way better outside. The interior is nicer than the nx. Thr screens are better than the nx. The powertrain value is way better than the nx. Remember the base nx uses the same base engine from the Camry and rav4. The turbo 4 in the nx performs similarly to the xt4. Sure there’s a hybrid and an overpriced PHEV but cmon it’s a luxury car so who cares about fuel economy? The xt4 doesn’t constantly remind you of a lesser Chevy product like the equinox which is high praise. Whereas the nx reminds you a lot and I mean everything about the RAV4 only except that you paid significantly more and all you get is a rav4 wearing ugly lipstick

@@naveenthemachine I see Chevy all over the Caddy’s of today lol, what are you talking about??? Every Cadillac is just a hyped up Chevy with a bow tie haha. But hey to each their own and that’s why not every car is for everyone. I'd rather have a Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited than the XT4. Seriously. Has almost every tech and convenience item the Cadillac does, AWD, rides better, quieter, much better MPG, similar performance, better interior room, better cargo space, longer warranty and is much cheaper. Not telling someone that's shopping in the "premium" sub compact SUV class they should get a Hyundai instead, just pointing out how a marque like Cadillac has slipped over the years (and their sales show it).
