    I'm voraciously watching people's 2024 setups in preparation of getting back to bullet journalling! I took a break during 2020 because I got burnt out from a job, and then 2021 and 2022 have been burnout recovery and playing around with other planner systems/styles. Well... Nothing stuck, so I'll be going back to a bujo! Love all the spreads you included, especially the grid bookmark. I usually have a grid spacing guide, but making it a bookmark to remove and place near the page/spread I'm working on seems much more functional. The simple designs here are also very inspiring. :)

    I also took a little journaling break around that same time as you!! It works best for certain periods of life over others but I’ve been so happy to be back into BuJo :) and yes I love the grid bookmark! I used to have it directly on the page as well but the I use it way more as a bookmark

    Hi from France, Ana ! Your channel definitely deserves much more many subscribers ! I happened to discover it this morning as watching bullet journal set up videos is part of my morning routine with a cup of tea when I am off work !! I think I don’t realize exactly how much time it takes to post a video in terms of getting organized before the final result and that's the main reason I don’t share my bullet journal (feeling a little bit selfish to get some ideas from others... !) Being a MD, I think I just enjoy being... lazy when I am not working !! Anyway, congratulations on your 2024 set up, which I find to be very poetic.

    Hello from the US!! Merci beaucoup for all your kind words, they’re greatly appreciated🥰 Sounds like a lovely morning routine☕️ The videos definitely take more time than I was originally expecting with all the planning/filming/editing so I feel lucky that I do have the extra time to do this! But being an MD is such important work - you definitely deserve some rest and relaxation with your hobbies! I actually used to work in healthcare too but I’m currently going after some more artistic pursuits☺️ I’m so glad you enjoyed the set up!

I don’t really like running but that was one of my goals last year and it was one of my favorite things I did. It was hard for me but I took it slow and it was super rewarding. Good luck.

    I really love your videos Ana! I have a question about the SeQues Bullet Journal. What are your thoughts on how it handles watercolor painting? I like to do watercolor paintings in my journals and would love to find a more economically priced journal that would work for that. Thanks!

  • @anabruns

    @anabruns

    12 күн бұрын

    Aw thank you! I haven’t actually used watercolor in a SeQues journal so I can’t answer for sure, but I will say the pages have held up to some pretty thick layers of coloring with markers. If the pages are like the other 160 gsm pages I’ve worked with, it will hold watercolor if you’re careful not to get to much water on the page. Hope that helps!!☺️

    What kind of glue stick are you using? I see that it is coloured, does it work well as an adhesive.

  • @anabruns

    @anabruns

    5 ай бұрын

    Just some regular Elmer’s glue sticks from the grocery store! It sticks really well and is definitely the cheapest option. The only downside is that you have to work fast before it dries and it can be hard to get the corners without getting glue all over the surface below. So sometimes I’ll use a tape roller (like this one XUXU 8 Pack Double Sided Tape Roller, Scrapbooking Tape, Permanent Adhesive Dots Tape Dispenser Runner for Crafts and Arts Projects, Photo-Safe a.co/d/aB4yRq4). But either option is good as far as how well it sticks!

    can you explain the grid spacing chart in detail?

  • @anabruns

    @anabruns

    5 ай бұрын

    Yes of course! I divide the page into sections both vertically and horizontally using the dot grids. So for example the page is 26 squares wide. So I drew a line down the page between squares 13 and 14 to divide it in half. Then I drew lines to divide it into quarters and thirds (dividing 26 by 4 and 3 to figure out where to draw those lines). I did the same thing vertically so I could get vertical sections as well. That way if I’m creating a spread that requires me to divide the page into, for example, four vertical sections, I can just place the bookmark and the page and see where to draw the lines to split it into 4. Hope that makes sense! I know some KZreadrs have also made whole videos on how to do a grid spacing guide, so you could always search it in KZread as well for a full video :)
