👋 In todays video, it's time to put the BMW M4 and the Nissan GTR head to head! These are two highly performance oriented sportscars that are also practical and cars that can be daily driven as a lot of people do!
The BMW M4 Competition is a luxury sportscar with great materials and a lot of technology! The fit and finish is great and the driving experience is very nice! You can tone the BMW down to efficient, and then when you are ready, up to sport plus and really rip around and enjoy the performance of the car!
The Nissan GTR is more of a "supercar", that doesn't look like a traditional supercar. If you didn't know what it was, you wouldn't think it was special just by the looks. Don't get me wrong, it's a great looking car, but I've heard it referred to as a mustang or camaro looking type of vehicle. Since this is a Nissan, it shares a lot of interior parts with cars like the Nissan Sentra, which is great to keep costs down, just crazy to see that! Materials are nice though, so it's a great looking interior and the fit and finish is nice! The technology isn't up to par like in the BMW, but it has everything you need to use to daily drive it! The performance technology is a lot more simple, but it still gives you the ability to go between "efficient" and "sport plus" like you saw in the BMW.
As a practical vehicle, the BMW takes the win with the fact that the back seats fold down. So you can put in longer items vs the Nissan which don't fold down!
Both of these vehicles are amazing in their own way and I will say, the Nissan GTR is a bit more on that "raw" feeling driving aspect compared to the BMW, but still has some refinements making more of a normal car to drive as well.

The BMW M4 is a car that might make it's way to the channel at some point, because it's another all wheel drive beast that can give you a similar feel behind the wheel!

Yeah I could see the M4 if you want a GTR with more refinements. But the GTR is so unique the way it is!

great review, despite all the negative comments I think you did a great job, will be buying the GTR next year for my birthday! Too many m4 competitions rolling around, it is quite refreshing to drive something different, looking forward to more sports car reviews !

The GTR over m4. Reasons? Gtr looks better, sounds better, drives and handles better. Also i think when you buy a car like this u dont care about its "comfotable features" unless youre an old man. Plus all the digital gauge cluster is not important. The only thing i wish they did add was blindspot monitor and a HUD.

Owning both a GTR and a N55 bmw the GTR is better. Hopefully these new bmws are more reliable and less finicky. Both of mine are lightly modded and used with a good amount of miles on them. GTR I feel confident I can get in and drive across the country, bmw I cannot.

From what I've seen the B58 and S58 cars are pretty rock solid. GTR is certainly very bulletproof. But the M3/2 seems pretty good too which is nice!

GTR is great , but it's 15 years old , and easily $30k more than the M4. I don't care about exclusivity , so for my hard earned money , I'd go with the M4.

You can get a used GTR for less, so just depends on if you want new or not. But both are great depending on what the buyer wants!
Is the g82 more reliable now? One thing I really hate is all the electronics issues with BMW. But I have to say Nissan is really milking their few hardcore fans left with little to no updates. Honestly, the infotainment system is like a 2010 Honda Accord --- bad, and the GTR is not a little more expensive, but like 30 to 40k depending on the year.

We've seen better things with modern BMW's. GTR is still. rock solid car with its old school design. New for new the R35 is about $25k more then a loaded M4. The higher trim GTR's are just more track focused. But a good used one in the newest generation is in the upper 90s. So there are plenty of nice GTR's for the same price as a new M4. Both are some fun
Good know the new M4 comp xdrive has basically copied R35 formula. The GTR fanboys keep those priced so high but few years M4 will be half off and better daily driver

We'll have to see how these new M4's stand up. Holding strong now. But we'll see if they hold like the R35's have for 15 years. It is a great car and the xDrvie Comp gives you the GTR experience but more refined.

@@strkeout Just keep working towards it! Family goals certainly are more important. But you can definitely make a dream car come true if you budget and live below your means!
The BMW interior looks super cheap on the dash. Compare it to a Porsche or even this GTR, BMW is trying to save millions by slapping a cheap screen on the dash and eliminating the switchgear and it reflects Germany's higher energy costs as they now buy the same Russian energy through India that they used to buy directly from Russia.

A lot of mistakes here. The gtr is about 15 years old. There is no way it's worth that price with ancient tech etc. There is no way the GTR is a better car... Except it's legacy. I think nostalgia and probably residuals are in Nissan favor. However this is the same car from ?? ... 2007?

M cars from bmw are holding value. Even 2020-2021 models are going for almost their MSRP.
