@@jaredjoseph3593 I couldn’t tell you. I know it takes about 1- 2 weeks for your car to be built. Mines been sitting at *waiting for transportation* for about 4 weeks already. I live in the US.

I got my 2024 Oct this year. A Brooklyn grey and tacora red leather. I was sold on the B58 as the engine I wanted to have for sure. Now I can’t be perfectly precise with the pricing any cheapening out with some interior parts yes no heated rear seats, yes no leather horn cover. But from what I remember as far as pricing not any if much price change with other car manufactures going up crazy in price, I would say this has stayed close to a two year ago price. Now all that being said as my third BMW omg a fun driving car. All the power you could ever really need unless you’re a true race car driver and a truly awesome daily driver.

uestion for you. Just test drove a 2024 M340Xi. Stickered for $67k and proposed sale price was $62k. 7500 mile lease was almost $1100 a month. Seemed like a lot to me for what the car is. Should have been $900 ish. The tech is cool, but I wish it had more touch buttons. When I was driving it around it felt like it was dragging. When I let off the gas it felt like it braking. Definitely a different feeling if it's normal. Most other cars I've drive,, Mercedes, Audi, Lexus, etc. roll with less resistance when you're not on the throttle. Wasn't sold on the car. Does it feel like there was resistance, like it was dragging to you when you were driving at lower speeds and low rpms? Perhaps that's normal.

@@StlPike2004Adding “low speeds and low RPM’s” made all the difference. At first I thought you were driving it in manual in the upper RPM’s while shifting to a lower gear. But I understand what you’re saying. Though I haven’t driven a M340i, I am interested and have to admit that would be an odd experience. Maybe drive a different one and see if theirs a difference. 🤷🏽‍♂️

@davidalenick1246 was in normal driving mode. Maybe regenerative braking when you let off the gas? Just not used to that. Other luxury cars I've had roll when you let off the gas. Here, felt like I was braking when I wasnt.

I love my 2011 328i X drive but I am so tempted to buy this car. I’ve been drooling over it for the past couple of years! I’m probably going to bite the bullet this year!

Well yes I believe the dragging is how the car tends to drive like a manual transmission and how it holds gears and also that is what is also called regenerative braking by BMW. Now it is more aggressive in the sport modes than comfort mode. This is my third BMW and all three have had a different drivetrain feel than other cars, they don’t have that let off the gas coast in neutral feeling. It is actually something I like about them, always having a standard transmission feel for an automatic.

I just got mine a month ago, mine is a clone to yours with x drive. It's my fifth 3 series and I absolutely love it. ❤ Great review!

Don't notice any drag issues, I have a 10,000 mile lease, 5k down $680/month. Your numbers do seem extremely high. Good Luck.

@@steveelson2999 I'm assuming yours didn't have many options. I assume $5k down dropped the payment around $100 a month. Not trying to be weird, but no way you got into a $67k M340 for $600 something. I have perfect credit and after $5k off, at $62k it was $1050 cause of a 3% money factor. $600 something means your sale price was in the high $50k range? I'm sure you had $1k or $1500 loyalty cash too. Show your paperwork, lol.

@@StlPike2004 sounds like you drove in sport, sport plus, adaptive modes or you had the transmission in sport or manual mode. Drive in comfort or eco with the transmission in normal drive and you won’t experience that. Also the transmission learns how you drive.

Wow you got an amazing deal. Mine's has pretty much the same features but with vernasca leather and it comes to 69000. Was able to negotiate it down to 67000 but damn 64k is a killer deal lol. The only packages I wish I had in addition are MPE exhaust system.

These b58 with stage 2 tuning goes crazy on par with stock m3

I have a 330i x drive in all black. Will definitely upgrade to the M340i in a couple years

You were likely driving in a mode that kept the transmission in a lower gear. Sounds like you need a good salesperson to show you what all this car has to offer. It’s a no brainer against the competition right now.

@davidalenick1246 thanks for both responses. I've driven other Audis, Mercedes, Lexus, and Infiniti. The M340xi felt like regenerative braking, like taking my foot off the gas and the brakes were being applied. I tried normal, Sport and sport+. Only a 15 min test drive, which isn't long enough for my liking. Sales person came along too, which I don't always like. I had a 2021 Infiniti Q50 Redsport and got into a new one. After negotiating $4k off the BMW, I couldn't convince myself to spend $5k more a year than the Infiniti ($15k more over 3 years) to get the BMW. I like the Redsport a lot. BMW tech is newer and the car is a tad faster, and I plan to revisit in a few years. Hopefully lease rates are better. I can afford both, but $15k wasn't something I was able to convince myself of. Nice car though for sure.

Would you say its a good reliable/sports car? and I heard that people don't like the new ones because of the mild hybrid system and does the 2024 have the the first gen of the b58 or the second gen?

The mild hybrid is great. Excellent gas mileage and almost no turbo lag. I’ve averaged 31.2mpg since new and I now have 43k on my 2021. Love it!

The mild hybrid is excellent reducing almost all turbo lag and produces excellent fuel economy. The first gen B58 I had on my 2016 340i XDrive. It was 320hp. Very reliable engine as well and averaged a very good 26.5mpg. I now have the second gen high output version in my 2021 M340i xDrive (it debuted in 2020). The 48v mild hybrid system was also added in 2021. It averages 31.2mpg. To my knowledge nothing has really changed since. And honestly, nothing really needs to. Very reliable, very refined, power at all rpms, and excellent fuel economy.

Cant believe they downgraded the steering wheel material….we went from stitched nappa leather to shitty rubber crap

They’ve been much better electrically compared to 15-20 years ago, and this B58 engine is considered one of the most capable and reliable mass produced turbocharged engines, and the ZF 8-Speed has been considered even better. Toyota uses both the engine and transmission in their supra 👍🏼

Missing small storage compartment next to steering wheel. Missing rear cargo nets that sit behind front seats. Missing cargo net in the trunk. The leather stitched airbag was replaced by a plastic one. Seat adjustment switches now have white accents, old switches were metal, and new appear to be plastic.

@@DooMGo2It it’s objectively worse in every single way, there’s not one single improvement they made. They cheaped out on materials, cut costs, and raised the price of the car still. But you’ll never hear these bozo dealers talk about any of these changes

Nice car but why does BMW charge $10k more than the M240 which has the same engine and is on the same chassis? That’s a big price difference for 2 extra doors!
