No there isn’t. But it’s a very stiff button.
Be good for a spotting scope.

I just got mine but thinking to return it. when the center column is fully out and you try to pan counter clockwise there is a chance to unscrew that center column.

Not sure if you’ve returned it yet but wanted to note if you put the video head at that 90 degree notch it reveals a hole in the top of the ball - you can then use the provided hex wrench and tighten the joint inside of that hole, which prevents the head from unscrewing from the rest of the center column. Makes it a bit more of a drawn out process to swap heads or use it in the shortest configuration without the rest of the center column when you do want to, but it does solve your pan problem :) I’ve found you can also attach the video head to any other tripod (or monopod!) when you use it with the complete center column, as the weight hook on the bottom attaches with a standard 1/4” screw.
