They need to update more on Airpods Max 2. Colors and USB-C ain't going to cut it. We need a power button to actually turn off the device, change the case, new chipset and many more...

I was acutally waiting with my purchase for the gen 2, but seeing this I may not want to buy it at all. Because I would feel like im getting 4 years old product.

No update to the AirPods Max would be a huge miss.

Only thing about getting rid of the stem is that the stem is such a recognisable part of airpods branding, so I would be surprised if Apple got rid of them. If they do then airpods will just look like every other wireless earbud

Yeah, also the swiping sound controls and squeeze controls are super cool to use. Not to mention the stem makes the weight pull downwards so gravity pushes it into your ear and fits in your ear perfectly

They're already crazy comfortable for me.

My list of things I’d want on the airpods max 2: h3 chip (it’s been like 4 years since the H1 came out so it’s way overdue), reduced price by $150 (some leaks were pointing at this), sweat resistance, fast usb-c charging speed

I have Airpods Pro 2 and they are great BUT many of the advanced settings, such as for hearing loss at certain frequencies, are ONLY available if you have a relatively late model iPhone.

Hearing test is available now in the Apple Study apps or with third party apps.

It was nerfed because it’s too good that it caused traffic issue, I believe you can get a better ANC if you use the smart switch option.

if that "when streaming" means via Bluetooth (since those headphones are predominantly wireless by architecture) no DAC/Amp in whatsoever beside exactly that combo component (decoding on 44.1kHz/16 bit 256kbs AAC) unit in headphones doesn't matter..

I’d consider AirPod Max 2 if they added a power button and much longer battery life. I have the Sony M5s, and a friend had the AirPod Max 1s and I tried them, the sound quality was pretty much the same, but the battery life of the M5s blows the AirPod Max away.

No way apple is removing the stem. This is their fashion statement and differentiator

The only comfort issue with airpods pro/pro 2 currently are due to the laughably garbage silicon tips that they use. I use azla sednafit xelastec tips and they're leaps and bounds better, not to mention tips from spinfit and foam alternatives from brands like dekoni or comply. Also, removing the stems would be really, really bad imo. The only way that will work out for them would be to have a stem version and a stemless version. Unless the airpods pro 2 remain in the product line and get any new features as a firmware update and the pro 3 was the stemless one

I'm facing the same question… tempting to get a cheaper 2nd hand AirPods Pro 2, but there are so many counterfeits out there… And even better sound, ANC & battery are all great + those health features would be incredible. I think I'll wait.

Would love the new AirPods Pro's, or AirPod's would work for me. When it comes to Apple AirPod's the first time I tried them they would just fall out of my ears. I still use the standard Apple EarPods with inside the ear, ear hooks. Could use these with AirPods except you cannot put them into the case with the ear hooks on. Too much of a pain to put the inside the ear, ear hooks on, and then take them off every time go to use the AirPod's. Wish Apple made in ear, ear hook option that would allow me to put them inside the case, and charge them without taking them off. That or a tip that would go further into my ear canal so they would stay in.

No keep the stems bruh, the only reason why they are so good for me personally is because the touch sensitive earbuds which click for no reason when I use them to sleep suck ass. Not to mention the squeeze on the stems make it easer to take the earbuds out sense you don’t accidentally trigger a click. I can also sleep with the noise cancellation a lot better sense they don’t go off randomly.

@@jeffreyrhthey don’t need an off button, I like the just put them on approach, way better than constantly having to turn my headphones on then off, that’s annoying when using them several times per day. I’d always put them in the case when not in use, they look nice and I wouldn’t want them to get scratched so they’d go in the case regardless.

The airpods pro 2 with USB C also transmit on 5ghz which is why it can actually do lossless audio to supported devices like the apple vision pro. The lightening version is only 2.5ghz. This was confirmed in an interview from Brian tong when he was chatting with the designers of the airpods pro

Maybe AirPods Pro 3 can have 5GHz(or even more) to enable lossless on all devices. With the new stemless design and new screen rumours, I believe that the H3 chip would not be much of an upgrade compared to H2. Maybe battery efficiency with the new 3nm architecture. I believe it is gonna be controllable only through Siri or the case like that iPod nano

My AirPods pro (which i had since 2021) are making static sounds in the right ear and keep falling off lately, so I’ve been dying to upgrade to AirPod Max but i was trying to be patient till they release a version with usb c (i have an iphone 15 pro max), now you’re telling me i have to wait at least 6 months, or just settle for Airpods Pro 2 which wont fit well, and looks like rubbish compared to the pro 3 description you just gave, and comes out in 2025🤧 Apple has me in a chokehold
