Thinking TLX Type S for that price. Wish that came with 6 speed manual like it used to.

$60k that’s a hard pass. A lot of demo cars are not getting any leads on orders due to its $52k base msrp. I think Acura really nailed the design and engineering and dropped the ball on the pricing.

I’m another aspec tech 6MT owner. I thought this would be a $48 car that added performance and took nothing away. At $52k with no moon roof, no power passenger seat, no rear usb, no driver seat memory… Let’s just say I’m finding it a lot easier to feel content with what I have. I think Acura missed the boat with the feature deletes. If I care about weight reduction and center of gravity so much that I’d give up a moon roof I think that makes me a Type R guy…

Acura's been doing that a while with their packages. The reason I got an RDX SH-AWD Advance over an A-Spec was due to lack of specific options on the A-Spec they left off for equally silly reasons. It's an SUV, FFS. Really silly to not have HUD and 360 pano cam in A, but you get the full panoramic moonroof. Also lost me the blue I wanted due to being A-Spec locked. They've fixed a lot of that these days with the ADV with A-Spec or A-Spec with ADV however you want to label it, but it took them 4 years from 3rd Gen RDX to do so.

The whole point of Integra was that it was based on a Civic and, thus, was inexpensive. Once that formula is broken, Integra doesn't have any real value.

CT4V Blackwing, Camaro ZL1, BMW M2. Uhhh you would have to be a true fanboi to spend $60K on an Integra.

You are so right, I just test drove it yesterday, it's definitely fun to drive but man tire noise + road noise, it's definitely not a luxury car. Honestly I wouldn't even pay MSRP for it.

Half of these people posting have zero clue. I drove one yesterday. Great manual - rides very nice - seats are great - handles awesome. Missing some keys - passenger controls - no ac vents in back - could use vent seats. Compare apples to apples. Other cars must have a manual or the comparison is useless. Type R - Golf R - Corolla GR. If you don’t care about a manual, then tons of options.

Seems like a tough sell for me at that price but I understand others will buy what speaks to them. At this price I start looking at S3, S4, or m240i or m340i. I can see people mentioning reliability here compared to the German cars, but considering the semi-generic interior compared to German counterparts, seems like you can ATTEMPT to get an IS500 which may be equally or more reliable, more powerful, sounds better, and RWD. IF you can get it for that.

$10k mark-up already in my local dealer in the great republic of FL. As the great Logan Roy would say, Fook Off!

You know that you can buy cars in other states, rights? There's a dealer near me with no mark up and they only want 52K for theirs in white.

A new nissan z proto spec cost 53k, the integra is about what 52k? And the proto-spec is full accessories. The 52k on the new ITS is with no accessories. Even if you get it with no accessories, and no mark up (which is unlikely), it's still over priced. With 1/2 the options plus a 5k mark up, your'e already at 60k+, that's the same price at the a91-mt special edition supra.

Until you go into the back seats, it appears to be a $10,000 vehicle due to the lack of a rear A/C vent, USB connections, and an armrest. It gives the car a cheap appearance and feels.

For 60k I'd go Supra. Supra looks like a special car this is just a 4 door compact faster civic

I changed my mind LOL 😂 I test drove the Type S and you can daily this car and the manual is like butter a 5 year old can drive it. The power delivery is just right and it’s smooth. 4 doors make it a daily Supra just a 2 seater whiich is a deal breaker for me. Now Feb 2024 you can get type a at msrp or less not the supra especially the manual

No sound system test ?

First of all it’s $52k. Second of all, of course it’s a rebadged Type R. The Integra was ALWAYS a slightly more premium Civic. And the FL5 Type R is a great car and people are paying $10k over MSRP on them all day. So buying this for the $52k MSRP or even $60k will definitely be happening since people spend $55-$60k on a Type R already

It's like watching people argue the price of a Firebird and its varying trims (up to TransAm) compared to a Camaro with all its trims... one was just a "rebadge" of the other. Just like Nissan and Infiniti's sport coupes that are cousins of each other.

For $60,000 should’ve came with all the upgrades including folding mirrors , AC vent and USB ports in rear seating area,better sound system better instrument clusters, bigger-screen, power seats on both driver and passenger including the seats that are in the Honda Civic type R ,electric trunk release and anti-theft deterrent system and lite up door sills with Acura type S and automatic engine start with gear bypass. They would sell a ton of these vehicles!!! The outside of this car looks fantastic and the inside looks basic, nothing fancy that stands out .

It feels premium and very special! The front is perfect! So wide and the grill is killer in person. I’m going to get the lit door plates and carbon spoiler. I went and sat in a Civic just to compare it to the type S and the civic feels cheap. Everyone who buys this car I bet will be happy and this potentially could be a collector type car. You park this car next to most BMWs and Audis and people will stare at the type s over the others! It looks rowdy! The fully loaded car isn’t worth the $60k price tag.

I test drove this car and was thinking about trading my fully loaded 21 awd IS350 DHP in. I just couldn't do it! Although I really liked the exterior styling, exhaust system, and manual transmission, I just wasn't very impressed! For me to trade in my lexus I would be giving up alot of features that my car has that the ITS doesn't, like the built in nav, sunroof, ventilated and full power front seats, rear passenger climate control and vents,360 cameras , blind spot monitors and front and rear collision prevention. And most importantly, the sound system. The Mark Levinsons studio on wheels is second to none and actually puts the els system to shame. I just couldn't fathom paying as much as I did for the lexus without these features!

Ben, didn't watch video, just wanted to say that anyone who buys a 60 grand Acura is CRAZY!!!! I think you spend that 60k on better transportation. Not saying that Acura is a bad ride, just to expensive. It's just a fancier Honda, which I had an Accord before and it was a pocket rocket, but sure as hell wasn't 60k!!!!

Well it's not 60k, at least without markups or addons it's not. Its 50,800 before destination, 6k more than Type R. Same difference between a SI and Type R as well, 6k. 10k worth of addons, get it standard. It comes loaded without them (same as Aspec but upgraded audio/more soeakers)

The TLX type s is cheaper lol that’s like an m2 costing more than an m4. It’s a great car at 48

My last two cars have been Acuras. And I still have both. So, you can say I am biased. I still think this is too much money for this car. Acura needs to step up their game, or bring down their pricing.

Not a fan of the black out badges or the carbon wing or mirror covers, I think they look terrible, cost too much sand the blacked out badges look cheap, I would leave the badges alone, add the illuminated front badge, illuminated sill plates, heated steering wheel. Maybe all weather matts, and cargo and seat protectors. But I def dont want dealer add ons added unless I select them. I think the basic wheel and shifter combo looks the best, leather wrapped matching is how I want them. The carbon fiber mirror covers are silly in my opinion, they dont even look good, they show the white under them, and they serve no purpose. to each his own, I test drive mine a week from tomorrow, we have an appointment, then I will buy in Dec, still saving up for a large down payment.

i would buy a base model, its the same but slower.

Acura knocked it out of the park with the Type S. The price tag is a bit steep but I bet it still sells fast.

Look at the nissan z, people aren't really buying those, and the proto-spec with full accessories cost 53k, about the same as a base model integra type s. The mark up killed the z, and I feel it's gonna do the same to the new ITS. I highly doubt there is gonna be no mark up and no accessories on most of them. 60k is probably gonna be the minimum asking price if you are lucky, that is special edition a91-mt supra territory. If you are into sports cars there are SO MANY other better cars you can get for 60k. The fl5 ctr was still kinda expensive, but there was nothing at that range you could get that was faster, not true in the case of the type s teg. Acura has over priced this thing, there are just too many other better cars you can get for the money. Anybody who buys this is gonna have to pass up on several other better cars.

I’ve already seen several dealers charging MSRP and seen members in the forums buying for MSRP. Just because a few greedy dealer may ask $80k does not mean that is the norm or that they’ll even get that for it….

ask for the original wheels if you order the upgraded wheels.

Anyone else feel like the reviewer sounds like he’s talking like he’s in a race to a verbal word minimum? Sounds like everything is one long run-on sentence. Anyway, the Integra Type S looks great, performance is great, sans a few options that are actually on the A-Spec, but that price is way too high, even at MSRP.

I wouldn’t pay MSRP for this. It’s a near luxury car.

Get a BMW G87 M2 manual instead for $60k+ instead 🚙

The car looks amazing. It’s just way over priced. Not worth more than 40. 50-60k puts you in another league of car m340 s4 mustang Camaro ss c43. More powerful cars. Not fwd at end of day this is a civic.

No different from a 3cyl Corolla. Overpriced and I’m sure QA is the same everywhere which means shit will be falling off the car in no time. The bronze wheels are nice and so is the shifter.

In Canada the Integra Type S starts at $42,000 USD so with the carbon package it’s still cheaper than one with no accessories in the US, but yeah if you’re in the US I’d probably take a manual supra over Type S with carbon package unless you need the back seats.

Isnt that car missing the heated steering wheel option? Also very over priced. At that price point you need cooled seats,phone plugs in for the back and vents, power seats for both seats, etc. Love the car but justt like the type R... Over priced.

Integra seats are straight garbage. CTR are several classes above.

So expensive? Overpriced? What car isn’t? Even Kia/Hyundai cars that are easy to steal, engines blow up and with engine fires are expensive. Buy a bicycle then.

While the $60K price tag is not a good look, people have to stop saying “I can get this instead” , maintenance cost differ between cars (obviously), reliability also differs between cars. The average person doesn’t want to buy something that they’ll have to go to the dealer every few months to get something fixed. Even though the average person probably isn’t going to be able to afford a 60k car, they definitely won’t be able to afford a 60k Bimmer in comparison. At least an oil change and tune in isn’t going to require taking out a second mortgage.

This is the price of an Alfa Romeo Giulia Estrema... I dare anyone to go on a tight track with this against a Giulia. Plus a Giulia has REAL leather seats, and gets to 60 in 5.0 seconds and it's RWD or AWD. Throwing a simple intake & exhaust with a tune gets you to 60 in 4.2 seconds. This car with the carbon pkg is worth 50k. Inflation or overhead is not the reason its so expensive. It's expensive because during the chip shortage. American morons were willing to pay whatever the price, to be the first on the block with a new car. So now we proved to be lowlives as a nation. So they hit us with a scumbag charge. Cuz cars over community

When you say it has enough power, the only true answer is NEVER.
