It seems like the House Finches are not a fan of the red colored cayenne pepper. I know they cannot taste it. Yet, their number of visits have really dropped off since adding the red pepper. In the wild, the color red typically means danger or stay away. I am hoping that they will eventually get used to it and notice all of the other birds getting their fill.
