I just went from a 2020 mdx tech shawd to a 22 Xc90 t6 momentum awd w the advanced, climate and Harmon Kardon sound system, feels like a huge upgrade from the MDX, I had a 17 MDX base before, as well as an 08 mdx tech and then an 00 mdx before that one, the 17 and the 20 were leases and the 08 and 00 were bought brand new, so after driving an Acura for the last 22 years it was definitely time for a change, the Xc90 is a lease and I look forward to these next couple years

I have a 2013 XC60 and 2020 XC90. Generally speaking, for any car, my biggest pet peeve is headrests that block the rear window. A fantastic feature of Volvo is that the headrests can go fully tilted down while keeping the seats upright with the push of a button - at least for the second row. I’m not sure about the third row since the only time I have that row up is when I have passengers.) It’s a manual button for my 2013, but I need to access the function through the touchscreen on my 2020 (and probably any model with the large touchscreen).

I would like say that you failed to mention that there is an air suspension on offer for $1,800 and an Bowers & Wilkins sound system for $3,200. No hate at all, I just wanted to let you know these options were available. Great video! :)

The 2023 XC90 Ultimate comes as a B6 only and it's included in the price. It's not $4900 on top of the price of the Ultimate package as you stated. Just thought it would be helpful to mention...

I wish Volvo would put rear monitors in the second row. Volvo should also put a camera in the rear to eliminate the obvious rear-view hindrance. I like the car it's got a regal look to it, plain but sexy. The second row should also have a ventilated seat option. I like this guys review, he's one of a handful who actually tests the sound system

I leased a 2018 xc90 fully optioned with air suspension and B&W, has been a very comfortable and reliable car. I dont see anything new for 2023, still a beautiful and distinctive design! Lack of BEV full size SUV has made me switch to a BMW iX, very impressed with this car as well, cheers!

I’m very disappointed with my new 2023 xc90s infotainment and phone app, it’s quite limited in comparison to one of our other cars (2019 bmw i3). The bmw app is significantly better especially when controlling the charging schedule (which you just can’t do on the Volvo app) and location services and many other features. The infotainment system is less intuitive than the bmw, but it is android based and a touch screen which the bmw isn’t, and I’d hope that with updates it will get better.

So I’m a 2022 XC60 Recharge T8 owner and I’m pretty sure you missed an entire engine in this video. The plug in hybrid option that is available that offers 35 miles of pure electric range. It’s possible I missed it, but I just looked at my local dealer and on Volvo websites and they are available.

Are Volvos still engineered to last 300,000 miles and longer? Or are the electronics going to shorten the lifespan?

You can tell by the way the interior is designed that these cars feel more simple than BMW/Merc/Audi... certain things like the dial you twist to start the engine feel much more robust than the stupid starter buttons on most cars. Also, the gear shifter on these cars is kinda old fashioned compared to the stupid ones on BMW and Merc. Feels like there is a lot of 'tried and tested' engineering underneath the skin of these cars. Volvo have a very different ethos to other manufacturers and I think the chineese ownership has given them back additional funds to make their cars better than the Ford Era P1 and P3 Volvos of 2004-2015.

I have the 2022, the driver and front passenger seats are so bad. Love the car, but those two seats are unnecessarily hard and tight, maybe Swedish butts are smaller. My second complaint is how low the dash screen seats behind the wheel, I never could see how much gas I have, I wish they bring that up a bit, so you can see the bottom of the screen through the wheel and all the notifications while driving.

@@aaronsummerville6187 the supercharger has not been removed for 2023. Where did you get that from? Also, no one is saying that the mild hybrid system is the same as the supercharger. The B6 comes with both turbocharger, supercharger and a mild hybrid system. The mild hybrid system does not add anything to the max power output, but can support when accelerating (very slightly) and will also act as regen unit when braking to store power into the 48V system, which is primarily used to power the start-stop feature and interior climate etc.

One thing you never mentioned is that the t6 has an electric supercharger. I think it is important for people to know that and that is why it doesn’t have turbo lag. You should know what your talking about if you are going to show the car. Second, fold down third row for better rear view. Most people don’t need the third row all the time. Again I have to say pretty sad video. First time watching and last time watching. Good bye.
