Hi from the UK 🇬🇧 I have a new C40 Recharge Plus, single motor and for anyone considering purchasing one, it’s a great car. You won’t be disappointed. At present, I’m getting approximately 240 miles, per 100% charge. The C40 has sweeping indicators. (Not when you put the hazards on though). The XC40, doesn’t. Nice touch 😉 In the UK, heated rear seats are standard on the Plus. I just haven’t mentioned it to the kids 😁 They’ll only leave them on full 🤦🏻

I have my C40 fwd plus and it have been a plesure all 3 months until now. Easy to drive and the range in winter driving works for me, because i charge from home 5 times a month. Maybe 3-4 times when it is gets warmer. I have leased it for 2 years.

I’ve owned an XC40 Twin for almost 2 years and am very happy with it. I tried the C40 and agree that it’s a pretty car, but I like the opening sunroof and shade, and felt the rear window with its lack of a wiper a negative in a rainy climate. The only negative I’ve experienced is the 20” rims that came with the Ultimate trim level. Even with surround cameras, it’s a challenge avoiding damaging them. The 19”s I have for winter driving ride more comfortably, and are more than adequate in terms of road holding. The thing I like best is that the car doesn’t try to draw attention to itself. No one knows you’re driving an EV, until you have to get a move on.

@@VagabondBuilds If it helps anyone take a second look at the car, it’s definitely helpful. Volvo is a company that quietly goes about its business and isn’t trying to show off. It’s good that you aren’t comparing it to other cars. It’s a Volvo, not a Tesla, a BMW or a VW. If you get a chance to drive one for a while, the one- pedal drive is impressive, without the need for paddles or extra buttons. Tends to be overlooked by reviewers who don’t get enough time with the car.

Nice cars, did a test drive today. Only disappointment for me was the outdated feel of the center console screen and menu.

Im currently driving a Tesla. So yeah that makes this a big difference. Second thing im considering is price. Model Y standard range offers more or less the same features as this Volvo with a plus package but is 10k cheaper. But the Volvo is more smooth and has awesome seats. First world problems 😂

It’s bigger than your smart phone and the primary thing you would use it for is information and settings. The big difference is having that second map display in the binnacle. The EX30 has a bigger screen but no binnacle behind the steering column. The Polestar 2 has a bigger screen but one cup holder, unless you move the centre arm rest. I’m sure a future Volvo EX40 will change all this, but in the meantime, XC/C40s are thoroughly nice cars to own.

The C40 does not have the Ultimate trim. But if you go on their website and try to build your own, it will show what's available for the C40 specifically.

Yes of course the c40 has ultimate trim. All 3 trim options are the same for xc40 and c40 recharge. And no, there aren't any options for roof cover.

Great video. I’ve got the XC40 Single motor Recharge PLUS trim on order and it includes the Climate pack as standard so heated steering wheel and rear seats. The Plus package doesn’t get 360 camera, just rear

The Glass roof of the C40 is a better piece of polarised privacy glass. The XC is a cheaper roof which is why they added the cover.

@@VagabondBuilds For a sedan or coupe, more of the look of a Lucid Air (less angular than a Polestar 2). And for an estate, more like a Jaguar XF Wagon. For me, sensuous curves on a premium vehicle are more pleasing than the sharp angles on a utility truck.

Identical motors, battery. And whole platform as Polestar 2. Same HP. Just that polestar 2 is able to ota update and hp open up to 465something.

Just ordered a C40 through salary sacrifice. £330 per month NET. A Nissan Leaf was only £10 a month cheaper, so it was a no-brainer. Great video 👍🏻

They're both awesome cars. Motors are brushless, they last a lifetime. And I think you'll get 4yrs bumper to bumper warranty and 8yrs battery Motors basically whole powettrain system. So if it has to do with vehicle being able to drive. You get 8yrs.

@@VagabondBuilds yes c40 have problems with heating systems its blows cold air even it’s oh high heat (fully charged no optimizer) it’s happened many times ! Other things sometimes it’s not giving me any options for heating and cooling! I contacted my dealer they checked they never find anything wrong! So it’s frustrating! U never know when ur heat it’s gonna stop !

@@mehdimojumder220I think the problem may be your dealer. Either go to another Volvo dealer if possible, or ask them to escalate to Volvo. If no errors are coming up, it’s possible the errors are intermittent. You aren’t the only one to report a problem with heating and with very cold weather across the US, Canada and Northern Europe, Volvo will be coming up with a fix. Some of the dealers are better than others…
