2012 I bought my polo Vivo GT for R160 k. 11 years later, 350 k km later is still the cornerstone of my garage. When the new one was launched for R250 k I thought no man that's too much, now is at R350 k. Glad I keep mine❤

Those LED headlights are an R11,650 optional extra so a baleno glx or starlet xr is much better value

At 350k i would definitely get a good second hand Renault Duster Intens EDC because its an SUV and has better fuel consumption than the GT. Cool review, always looking forward to a new video from you, keep the good work up 👍👍

My mom loves her 1st gen Vivo. Super reliable. For this GT money, I'd rather buy a Baleno/Starlet.

The GT price is not make sure.

Volkswagen is literally pricing themselves out of South Africa. Hyundai and Suzuki are great choices to look at especially with those warranty options.

For a 25 year old gent it's a great car sport quite punchy after turbo lag is customizable stance alone makes it proper other a Belino is for 35 year old people 😂

FOR 350K I would add +/- R1500 and get an entry 2023 POLO TSI

For R350k id get a 2020/21 VW Polo R-line with 85kw 200nm, with a DSG also and be happy ☺️

The price of this GT is madness. I'd rather get the Baleno GL. That car is value for money🤌.

Even though I've just arrived and new here, a R350K on a car where everything is manual is a bit atrocious.

Waaaaaaay too much money consider what you get at that price, for me I would rather choose the Clio V Zen or even the Life model which does come with enough features that are standard, sure the GT does have slightly more power and torque than the Clio V but is it worth that price, hell no. That Parking Assist thing which cost around R6300 must be a standard feature in this day and age.

According to me the GT's performance 81kw 200NM 9.7s 0-100km\h and fuel efficiency 4.6l/100km has no competition in the R200- R350K price range for 20s - 30s aged young man with 300-350K budget Its brothers: vivo highline's fuel consumption is very high because of its 1.6 petrol engine its pricing around R309K which is not far from the big brother performance: 0-100km\h in 10.8s . The Comfortline is slow 0-100KM /h in 12.2s 63KW 132NM pricing around R280K. The trendline is around R250K let's not go to the performance. I also think the target market plays a big role on this car. Rio, i20 and Suzuki according to me are too feminine and slow for a guy in their 20s-30s. If you have the money, love speed, want a fuel efficient good looking car and you're a guy in their 20s-30s this is the car for you.

I would save R50k and go for pre owned Golf 1.0 TSi or Corolla Hatch 1.2T yep a C segment hatchback for that money

This is way overpriced! At least one can go to Comfort Line or Highline 1.6. I had Polo Vivo Highline and returned it within 3 months. Not so fuel efficient for me, very low specd, nha one must just look elsewhere ffor budget cars. Paying R6k and close to R2k insurance for a Polo Vivo is not worth it.

For me i think VW is lazy when comes to changing this kind, I mean a lot can be change but they dont while it cost 9 million :-(
