I had an MDX and while it had more rear space than that, I always thought it was dangerous to ride back there. Zero crumple zone if you get rear ended. I only put people back there in a pinch.

3rd row not removable, does not fold flat, cheap most of interior, too expensive for quality of materials used. Great driver area design , great exterior look, nice powertrain

@@soaringeagle7571 yes, the size is obnoxious….however, the 2000 to 2006 5.3 motor, Royal Purple Synchromax in the transfer case, and WEEKLY trans fluid transfers(using $7 hand pump from Harbor Freight), saves me $1000-$1200/month over any other SUV/truck this size. My area is either Tahoes or Suburbans(farm/horse area) so I can get known issues repaired cheeeep. These are the factors why it trumps all others.

Screen is too big but there is still many buttons? Damn that's what I like! Tesla and other brands that relied on screen only just annoying. Button just superior, can be use even without looking it

Why exactly would you not want a hybrid? There are literally zero disadvantages to turning your wasted energy into electricity instead of brake dust. Toyotas not gonna ditch the future because you want a gas guzzler lol

Toyota really messed this version up. That trunk space is laughable for a full size SUV.

You also forgot the gas mileage

That rear tailgate better be very reinforced to withstand an idiot who slams into you while your stopped at a light. There is not much room between a kid in that seat and the exterior of the car.

Those first 2 reasons don’t rlly make sense

I don’t understand why Toyota can never get decent cargo space for having such a large SUV. Lexus GX and LX are a joke too. The Ford Explorer and Palisade have more cargo space.

It’s like they had a genius create exterior and the front four seats and messed up the third row. Make it 8 inches longer. Move the back row back two inches, and fix that hideous trunk.

The previous generation was much better interior capacity wise without being a bigger footprint. They just royally messed this up from the 2nd row back.

The cargo area is dog shit!! Huge design error!! Even with 3rd row laid down it's still a joke!!
