What the sensors in the front don’t seem to show in the ratings that you are doing or anybody else is doing is that when it’s snowing and snow piles on top of it they stop working and also the led fog lamps are low enough to get covered in snow as well. I’m driving a 2023 4 Runner and the sensor in the front stopped working because snow piled up on it while driving during a snow fall, I just wish they can adapt a heating system to it to melt the snow or ice or at least to prevent it.

I was seriously considering this or the all NEW soon released 2023 Honda Pilot. The solid rear axle doesn’t offend me but it’s killin rear seat room to fold in floor 😟

How so? Worse in almost every way than the previous Gen. The only upgrades are the interior tech.

I totally agree with you

A fan of big SUV’s but I’m one that would always keep the 3rd row stowed for storage. That 3rd row folded is a mess. That would make me pass on this one.

Agreed. 3rd row needs to be flat floor all the way. Damned ugly and totally useless as is. Otherwise, looks great.

They made a huge compromise with the hybrid battery under the third row.

I've had mine for about a month and the first thing I did was take off that front lip. Lol. Since then I've replaced the wheels and tires and waiting on my overland parts to come in.

the holes on the design of the seats are meant for things to get stuck in. The third row design is better

I'm in Phoenix. My local Toyota dealer(s) mark up the new Sequoia by 8K over MSRP. I drove over to the Lexus dealer and got a '22 GX460 instead. So glad I did. It is a much better built vehicle and is actually 9K cheaper.

Sequoia equals disappointment' Lack of luxury for a 50k to 80k vehicle. A Palisade has more luxury. No auto AWD that people complained about on the old one till they finally added it late in its generation...but not on the new one. Last minute battery placement with no thought. Lack of storage space/flat floor. The MAIN reason to get a large SUV. No stupid shelf will fix that. No thought..money...or time put into its development because Toyota wanted to cancel the Sequoia because Toyota Japan doesn't understand why the North American market likes big SUVs and treats us like red headed step children. No sliding second row. Pretty much just an extended tundra NO all wheel air suspension like other competitors. etc etc This will sell less than the old gen Sequoia and then Toyota will either a. see the lack of sales as justification to cancel the Sequoia like they wanted to. b. Take about 10 plus years to fix it. The Sequoia actually pissed me off...cause I love the look and love the powertrain. But thats about it. I was waiting for a long time to get a Sequoia as a lifelong Toyota owner. Now....im thinking i might leave toyota for the first time and get a Palisade. Toyota cant just expect things to sell because...Toyota.

Agree with all your points, except one. Selectable AWD (4Hi) was available right off the bat on the 2nd Gen. All 4WD models had 2Hi, 4Hi, 4Lo and a lockable centre diff (Torsen).

For the price they're asking for on the new Sequoia, I'd rather buy a 2023 GX460 and pocket $10K. V8, Made in Japan, full time 4WD, Mark Levinson audio, and updated infotainment system. Unless you really needed all that extra space on the new Sequoia....

This thing is Awsome looking. The new tundra. Not so much.

While the exterior does look much better than previous and Tundra, I dont' like turbos and that interior is BAF. The dash design and materials look cheap, the vents are obnoxious. The seat look pretty stiff as well. This is definition of function over form.

I'm sorry. I totally disagree with this. Everything about the vehicle is great EXCEPT for one of the main reasons why people buy SUV's, the REAR STORAGE! Wow. What a total screw up. Does not have a flat load floor. Some weird shelf system which I'm certain will crack under excess weight. That solid rear axle is killing the entire rear of the vehicle. I was excited for this vehicle and was looking forward to perhaps purchasing one but this is a HUGE pass for me. I'll look at older models or other vehicles entirely. Sorry Toyota. Maybe next time.

This is a very disappointing supposed upgrade. I have owned over 5 Sequoia's in the past and this one will not be an option in the future. The second row is just plain horrible compared to the previous version captain chairs it is a sequoia not a highlander. The loss of the rear power glass is a deal breaker, and the new Toyota greed grab of charging for services on their vehicles is a complete turn off. Even Ford, yeah Ford does not do this. I have bought over 15 Toyota vehicles a year for the last 25 years and that has now come to an end. This nickel and diming has to end!

“Toyota knocked it of the park” says the Toyota conformists. Toyota absolutely screwed this up. This has to be the most catastrophic suv redesign to date. Shrunken interior and cargo space, poor ride handling, lackluster mpg and it’s overpriced
