I test drove the XLE model about 2 weeks ago. I thought it was a really fantastic car. Very comfortable, smooth, and luxurious feeling. The seats were incredibly comfortable, perfect for road trips. I decided to go with a 23’ Crown Limited in heavy metal. I do have to say, I’m glad I decided on the limited over the XLE. The headlights are a major upgrade (they’re quad beam LEDs), the interior is much nicer with the leather seats, memory seats, and heated and ventilated front seats with heated rear seats. It also has a panoramic sun roof, heated steering wheel, front and rear parking sensors, reverse automatic braking, the upgraded sound system (11 speakers), rain sensing wipers, digital key, and a Birds Eye 360 view camera. I was lucky to get it at MSRP which was right around $47,000 with added upgrades and destination fees. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase. I’m even getting well over the EPA estimated mpg. It’s rated at 41/42/41 but I’m getting 47-52mpg with both daily city and highway driving.

We love or Crown limited! AWD for the winter months. Excellent MPG getting 45 on the first tank of fuel. I love the ingress and egress height.

I placed a deposit for the Toyota Crown XLE in Heavy Metal today. It arrives in 3 weeks. Final price with CA tax and license is $45,890. I was going to get a Tesla Y Long Range this past weekend at $63,000, but I was afraid with all the panel issues I was hearing about. It shouldn't have any issues where its becomes my responsibility to document all issues within a few days of taking it home, otherwise its my fault. At least with Toyota, the entire car is under warranty for 3 years. The Tesla is under warranty for 4 yrs., but I'm told, the panel issues, I'd be blamed for wear and tear if I don't report it right away. This was a dealbreaker. There's no saving in gas to owning a Tesla. The cars are expensive $63K for a Y versus $46K for a Crown. I can pocket $17K and use that for gas and service as I expect to only keep the car 7-10 yrs. I own a 16 yr. old Lexus GS and only at the 15th yr. mark did it begin to show all its wear and tear.So the Crown, I expect, will be reliable for 10 years based on my owning a 16 yr. old Lexus.

This is the only Toyota I must get one bro.

After the scamming dealerships, get their final price, this car will be untouchable for most consumers. The auto industry is on the brink of a crash!

I love the design, and interior tech is nice! Interior materials are nice and soft, just really plain looking. Wish there was more stitching etc on all trims. Everything else is great. Loving Toyota/Lexus’s rear light bars. Great review!

I noticed the vertical slits on the rear trunk lid kinda looks like the Venza grille 😊

Great looking car- I don't think the front center daytime running LED turns on in the U.S. regardless of trim level (xle, limited, platinum) - question about the seat height- would you say the back seat seat height above ground level is similar to a camry? Or is it higher off the ground like an SUV ?

I think you messed up on the torque spec. You mentioned the engine torque only, not the combined engine & motor.

@@Iegend17 NO, I think you're only mentioning the torque of the engine (163 #'s), not the combined torque (net torque of the 2 motors and engine). The front electric motor has 149 #'s with 118 hp & the rear has 89#'s of torque with 54 hp. I'm not sure how to figure it out though. Good review overall.

huge fan of the channel - one thing I noticed that I do all the time too - you said "nice" about 2,000 times and it becomes distracting. Haha- we all do it but wanted to point it out 👍

The xle and limited 2.5 engine is a bit loud. Is that normal?

Great review! Looks like even the base comes very well equipped and luxurious! My only gripe is that the beltline of the windows is high which is why the visibility isn't great. Also the base hybrid is definitely slower than the old V6 Avalon that it replaces.

Yes but almost double the efficiency and awd to boot. Its not a rocket but nor was the 3.5.

The crown is larger, quieter, more luxury, more power, AWD, sits higher (that might be good or bad) and has Toyota safety 3.0 (Camry 2.5)

We purchased a Crown limited due to ingress and egress height, it having AWD for the winter months. It is much more automobile vs. the Camry. I absolutely hate crawling down into a vehicle unless it’s a sports car. Last but not least my wife wanted a sedan hybrid! Happy wife happy life.

No, he was right the base is XLE. I test drove the base model and it had the XLE badge on the back.

Not a driving review so did not bother to watch.

It looks like a Kia on the outside unfortunately.

Looks way better in black given that its the ugliest new car😤
