I am always surprised you guys dare to ride sportbikes on the crappy roads in the US. All those cracks, potholes and oil on the road would scare the hell out of me. When I was riding a week on a Harley in Washington state I was super carefull. With a Gixer I'd probably shortshift everything and ride super carefull (been riding Fireblades for 20 years before even in Scottland and on bumpy small roads in France). I bow my head. And this really is not about driving fast ... 55 miles on a normal country road, wet patch+crack and you find yourself in the guard rail ... take care mate.

I’m a new rider at 49 in the uk. Was really unsure about the first bike I bought but went with a sv650 and I love it. Caught the Suzuki bug! but OMG the gsxr 750 I’m sure will be in my garage in the not too distant future

Did you flash ECU? The exhaust popping is not good for the engine. #1. The popping is indeed caused by the PAIR system. The PAIR is an emissions system designed to inject air into the exhaust track to burn unburned fuel so your NOX levels are within guidelines. Extra fuel is injected into the exhaust system when you decelerate for two reasons. 1. The engine is slowing down and your electronics cannot react quick enough to maintain the right amount of fuel for the RPM and 2. Running too little fuel while the motor is slowing down can cause detonation and ultimately burned parts #2 Go to Dyno ( makes adjustments to your bike's ignition, fuel, and air supply to maximize horsepower and torque) #3 Regarding tires..if you are not an experienced driver, do not buy street/track tires....because street/track tires need a higher temperature to start working properly. Yes, this bike was Dyno Tuned by Moore Mafia. Please check out my video on that part, installed full exhaust, serviced and installed new air filter (Sprint Air Filter P08). After the tune I could see on the chart how much more fuel the bike was getting in the places that the OEM restricted it. As for tires, i commute to work on this bike also, so i would be looking more toward something from Michelin PILOT POWER 2CT. Let me know your thoughts as far as the bike being tuned for the exhaust and such. does that help make sure the bike gets the proper fuel during deceleration? i figured if its popping and has a flame here and there that there is def running a tad richer than stock. here is the link to the tuning process on the bike: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f2iawY-Tp8XYZdI.html

Popping back is nogood means air leak in exhaust. Check connections. Can also be result of too rich mixture improper tune excess fuel being reignited in exhaust system. Eventually blow off ir will get worse

@@pointnozzleaway I've been doing that on my 600rr for over 4 years now. Once you have it down it's buttery smooth, and almost as fast as a quickshifter. Even downshifting you can do it but you need to rev match also and it's much harder to not mess it up (you have to cut power, downshift, and then immediately rev match). But don't recommend that because it's not as smooth as just using the clutch, and if you don't have a slipper then your rear tire will skid if you don't match properly. Clutchless upshifting from 2nd to 6th is buttery smooth and easy though. My friend has a street triple with a quickshifter and even that's not as smooth as clutchless upshifting on my bike (his quickshifter jerks the bike a little). 1st-2nd on my bike is very far apart, so I use the clutch for that otherwise it jerks. I do the same on my dirt bike too.. they both run like a top.
