I'm in the United States, so the specs and trims seem to be slightly different than in the Philippines. I bought a 2023 Subaru Forester back in October of 2023, and love it! Long story short, I was in an accident in September of 2023, and my car was deemed totaled. I was okay and walked away, but the car was deemed a total loss by the insurance company. At the time I was driving a 2016 Subaru Impreza wagon, and given how well that protected me, decided I wanted another Subaru, but something a little bigger, which is why I went with the Forester. I looked at the Crosstrek, but wasn't crazy about the new Infotainment system, and felt that the EyeSight system blocked my vision slightly in the Crosstrek, and the outward visibility was better in the Forester, which is why I went with the Forester.

Search "He Woke up in a Rice Paddy: His Car was a Wreck" I personally know the guy in that article. His story says a lot about Subaru's safety features. I own a 2019 model and still driving it to this day. What I really love about this SUV is the balance & grip while blitzing through corners, throttle response specially in sport mode, huge cargo & passenger space, and the wide windshield. With its flat 4 engine laying low under the hood, it leaves more room for visibility. Lastly unlike the CRV, CX5, RAV4, Tucson. You can take the Forester to a hardcore drive off-road.

What a lot of people fail to realize is that Subarus are not for everyone. It is not your ordinary Honda or Toyota, it is catered to a niche of people that likes SAWD and the Legacy of the brand. The brand itself is already a premium category on par with Mazda's prices but 1 step lower than Lexus. Regardless, if you're able to afford one, you should also be able to afford the maintenance behind it.

2 years ago I bought my wife an Outback for her birthday. Last year (2022), it was time to replace my 13 year old RAV4. I was going to buy a new Forester Touring, but during my search I found a 2019 In Bronze with Saddle Brown Leather interior. It had only 4,700 miles on it so I bought it and saved over $6K. I’ve added a bug shield, mud flaps and pinstripes, as well as a dashboard Topper. Yes I miss the 269hp 3.5 V6 from my RAV4, but I love the 29mpg over the 19mpg from my old RAV4

At long last, been waiting for the forester 2023

i love the new camera angles, esp from the back seat would have been nice to keep the old flow though: front, side, rear, trunk, backseat, front seat

Drive a CR-V, Rav4, and a Forester back to back. If you are honest to yourself you cannot even compare how smoothly the Subaru drives compare to those. Those feel tall and wobbly, this one feels planted and stable. Regarding the pick up power, either use manual mode or change profile...

My 2011 Forester has space under the spare tire cover to keep the tonneu secure if you dont want to use it…. It also has the extra screen on top of the dash, but has limited display info like actual fuel consumption, outside air temp and a clock…. It also has dual tailpipe exhausts which aint fake, AWD and a big ass moonroof that reaches way to the back passengers….. and its less than a qtr of the price of new Foresters….😂😂😂

i have a sh model . if u want to play subaru use the sports mode semi manual after u enjoy .. no lag and super fast . 200kph + top speed . normal mode good for city driving only . if u want racing2 in the hiway use the sports mode . guaranted have fun.

Back seat adjuster, sports mode, auto headlight, auto wiper, X - mode and try the turbo model 2013-2018 for engine power..

You can pull up from 30 or 40 kph by using the paddle shifter. It will change the throttle response once you click the paddle shifter to a lower gear without changing your main shifter to manual mode.

Does the American version of 2022 or 2023 Forester have the 360 camera?

You’re gonna want the extra headroom in the Forester. You may feel crammed in the Crosstrek.

Practicality with a touch of premiumness to it,.The forester is already your next crossover car Plus all of its safety and comfort features too,. Truelly In this car getting to your office,.As well as bringing the kids to their schools is just a walk in the park 👍😉👍 It's bacause,.Your also really in a vault like structure of a car that can protect you,,..In every step of the way 😉 Plus with it's updated cool look,.It will also can be a head turner as well 😉

Caco, you should bring it off-road. And compare it again with other crossovers. It will let you know why it is loved by so many families with active lifestyles. Again, please bring it off-the-pavement regardless if its an Outback, Crosstrek, Evoltis, or the Forester. @Motorimage will gladly lend you the keys again, I'm pretty sure with that.

I would have to say a big no on the turbo charger! This is a wagon and it has plenty of horsepower for what it's intended for. The turbo would put more stress on the engine and they also require more maintenance. I'd rather have reliability over a little more power.

In case the overtake acceleration feels kind of slow, try using the paddle shifts behind the steering wheel to select a lower gear relation to increase torque in the acceleration. The Forester is a mature choice for anyone looking for a safe, reliable, durable and low operation cost SUV, with decent performance, not looking for sporty sensations or to be the faster on the road. A good vehicle for a family or someone looking for a good a practical vehicle.

I have my Forester since 2019, casa maintained. It's still reliable 4 years later. I'm yet to see what will happen after 10 years 😄. So far I'm very satisfied.

While SAWD has good handling, its better suited for North America and probably baguio, because its AWD the fuel consumption is high.

Subaru vehicles are outstanding vehicles. That's what I thought until I stepped into an EV. It's fun for a while until the fuel economy starts to make holes in your wallets.

Foresters used to be exciting.

Looks like a 1990's vehicle design...very utilitarian and it's not even a 4WD. Subaru aren't known for their design flair.

Whoever designed that thing, is stuck in the 90's.

Few subaru outlets, high tax, not so impressive fuel economy cause of AWD, and difficult to repair boxer makes this fun car impractical compared to its competition. Such a shame ☹️

That Black interior is so outdated. It’s gloomy, depressing, drab, coffin like, as is the 1990 Grey interior. I’m SO GLAD that my Forester Touring has the Saddle Brown Leather interior. It’s classy and fresh looking. I get a LOT of compliments on it.

@@Freddie-gv1yg My Forester Touring had the Saddle Brown Leather interior and my wife’s Outback has the Ivory interior. My Forester was a LEMON 🍋, so I got rid of it as soon as I could. I bought a 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road, double cab, 6’ bed with the Premium and Technology pkgs. It came with Black Leather interior so I promptly contacted Katzkin and had them make me Barcelona Red Leather for my seats with black trim and stitching. I sold the black leather to a friend who had grey cloth interior in his 23 TRD. He loves his new black leather seats and I LOVE my Red seats. I also had my White TRD 2 toned in Barcelona Ted metallic following the body lines of my truck.
