Just got a link to the 50 fathom curves from a friend in the know. www.pcouncil.org/documents/2021/11/e-5-a-supplemental-cdfw-report-1.pdf/ Note that there are curves around the islands and also some of the high spots offshore like Cortez and Osborn.

Thanks for the video, it really helps. But I wanted to clarify something on the map where you showed all green. I did download the GPS points and I fish around Anacapa and Cruz and there are 50 fathom GPS points around both islands and along with the shore. So I am assuming that I can't fish within that line and the island, which covers pretty much all the good spots for rockfish near the channel islands. There are also GPS points for Catalina and Clemente. Is that your understanding too? Thanks again!

Do any of you know if we can now fish the north 9 mile bank for rockfish? And I assume the 43 is still going to be closed? I am running a Simrad NSX on my boat and wouldn't it be nice at some point the updates would show that 50 fathom curve line. I may have to call Simrad on that to see unless some of you know. Tight lines! Danny and Kim.

I say yes to the 9. :). But only 4/1 thru the end of the year. No depth limits. :) I think the 43 is in the eastern cowcod conservation area so no fishing there yet. Check out this map. CDFW has all the no fishing zones (but no 50 fa curve yet) cdfw.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=c00c82e1f32a49e99c747e2411e3439e

@@socalfisherman6989 I looked too and couldn't find the map. It's a PITA to look at the GPS numbers and try to figure out the line. Time consuming... I found a note on the CDFW website that said they were going to add the 50 fa curve to their interactive charts (where they show the 3 mile line and all the other closures) but it's not on there yet.
