Nick Saban has only lost once in the SEC Championship Game. That was in 2008 when Tebow pulled a come from behind win & went on to win the Natty as well. Saban hasn't lost an SEC Championship Game since then. And the following season Bama went undefeated all the way to the Natty. They would win a lot of Natty's but didn't go undefeated again until 2020!! Btw- I wish you had included the TROPHY CEREMONY!!!! Ps/ Saban has also had 4 players win the Heisman Trophy. But he's also coached a lot of players that were considered for the Heisman as well. The Year that Devonta Smith won the Heisman, Mac Jones & Najee Harris were also Heisman candidates

Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant had a 29 game winning streak with Alabama. And he also had a regular season winning streak of 36 games. The streak was broken by Mississippi State, of all teams, they played at Mississippi State on a very muddy field. It was rumored that Mississippi State watered-down the field for a few days in order to slow Alabama down. Whether that was true or not idk, but what I do know is Bama lost 6-3. A really high scoring game!!

Bear had two 28 game winning streaks, IMHO, it was harder then, you played 10 games a year so in order to get close you had to have two straight undefeated seasons followed by another 7 or 8 wins. Now a days with 15 games you can do that in two years, which makes it much easier, not changing a QB over 2 years keeps everything going, its much tougher to do it over three years, yes UGAs was "over three years" counting the National title game, but really only over 2 years. Besides, Bear played great teams in the OOC, one year ( no kidding) he played Nebraska, #1 Southern Cal, Mizzou, and Washington, LOL.

@@titaniumman3398 Yes, thank you. I knew that already. The game I was talking about though, years later I read a magazine article about the Mississippi State QB that won that game. He said that his girlfriend was going to UGA in Athens,GA at the time & the Coach promised him a weekend pass to go see her during their bye week if they won the Alabama game. So LOVE played a big part in that win for Mississippi State! I thought it was a cool story & that is why that game stuck in my head. Yeah, it was about 25 years between Coach Paul Bear Bryant & Coach Saban & imho we only had about 2 decent Coaches during that time.

And everyone kept trying to not listen when I was trying to tell them that he was going to be just fine, he just needed some coaching. That Texas game was lost on 2 bad turnover plays that gave Texas 2 free possessions. They scored 10 points on those two possessions. They won the game by exactly 10 points. But it was just 2 bad throws. And he showed again and again, in every game that he played in all season, consistent growth and development, as well as Tommy Reese adapting his offensive schemes and game plans to better match his players, and make the job easier for the QB. The only thing that was a consistent problem in the very first game, all the way through the last game in the Rose Bowl, was having a center that forgot how to snap the ball, couldn’t remember the cadences, snap counts, or how to pick up his assignments post snap. He had problems with it in week 1 and he had major problems in the Rose Bowl. He all but single handedly lost that game for Bama.

Stop whining danielson ,the cornerback must turn his head around to make the play otherwise he interfered with the receiver to at least make a play on the ball ...the horsecoller there is two ways to look at it ...just ask Gene like a two year old that doesn't get his way so defensive when calls or play don't go Georgia way oh yea your a Georgia Homer Kirby will tell you after the game danielson ....bye homer bye

He isn't a Georgia homer. I've always hated the under thrown PI call, there's only so much a defender can do. You're penalizing him for a bad throw. As for the horse collar, it was extremely close and could've gone either way.
