Your voice is perfect for YT. (I am Hungarian so I need clear words for understanding. Thank you!) I had a Meteor Supernova 350 last summer. She was the 4th bike in the garage, the rest is 3 Hondas. I took allways the RE for trips, this was a natural choice as I loved its soul very much. I think its engine (her engine?) is the secret. No issue happened, but because of the poor rear suspension and my surgered back, and because of the pervert road surface in our country - I had to sell it after 2k miles. But the love is living, so I am thinking about to buy a Hunter, as its seating position is more ergonomic for me. I had no confidence in CEAT tyres, but your opinion is opposite, so maybe my opinion is not based on enough experience. Consumption was 3 liter/100km - at 90 km/h cruising, but she easily reached 110 km/h cruising speed. I do not remember the maximum, not important for me. All the others in traffic loved her. Not one GS owner stopped at red light and did envy. So, the suspension is why the Hunter must be tested before I buy - this was my conclusion, but if it is ok, then the Hunter will give the feeling of "flying across the land with and old-scool 100 years old biplan." It is a Saint-Exupéry bike. The feel of adventure and contemplative trans.

First of all, thank you for a nice comment. Before I chose the Hunter I tried all 3 models based on this engine platform. Hunter won for agility, cornering, better braking, comfy position at the bars. My back is also in bad shape(lumbar). The Hunter offers a slightly bent forward position which is perfect for me. Even long riding doesn't cause back or bottom pain. Recently, I did the Scottish NC500, a total of 756 miles from door to door with absolutely no pain. Average consumption 2.9 L/100km(UK-97mpg), biker 110kg in full gear plus lots.. of luggage at speeds between 40 and 65mph. Suspension is basic, a fully loaded bike was a bit softer, I pre-set the rear shocks at one before the firmest setting. I'm thinking of swapping them for Hagon 340mm, the standard is 320mm. I'm a heavy guy so bike sunk a bit, leaving very short travel for the shock absorber. Tyres are good and still look fine after 3200mls - plenty of tread. Big surprise is the chain, no tension adjustment needed :) No single issue so far, last service was done a week ago by a dealer. I owned bikes since the 80's and I fall in love this simple one with no regrets. All Best JP

Glad to see you holding 80mph indicated, I've got one and it can hold 80mph on the speedo, I keep reading reviews saying top speed is 70mph, I'm only 9.5 stone so maybe this helps but have no trouble cruising at 70 with a slow haul up to 80. Good review on beautiful roads.

Good honest review, thank you, and great scenic roads in your video. I also have a 'Rebel Red' Hunter, bought mine in March, I've done nearly 6000 miles ....... I love riding it around the country lanes, here in Somerset. I've had many different bikes, over the years, but this little Hunter (Hntr) is certainly one of my favorites. Happy riding, Phil

Im hearing different thins about top speed restricted. I heard it has different fuel maps to the Classic 350, which seems to top out at 72-73mph. So what is limiting top speed, a speedo sensor, or are you hitting the rev limiter at 80mph?

Hi, thank you for your comment. l think most modern fuel injected engines are equipped with rev limiters to prevent engine damage, you can test it by yourself by opening full throttle on any gear, once you reach max revs fuel will be cut off. Speed could be limited by software in engine ECU that the easiest way to do so. Info comes from speed sensor or ABS sensor installed on the front wheel. To be honest 75mph for this bike is fast enough in the most cases. All Best JP

As I mentioned in my review we are all different in many aspects and sizes. For example I don't mention bar risers because for me it's alright even for a ride as long as 10 hrs. Never had back issues or wrist pain. Classic 350 and HNTR 350 share the same engine but apart from that they are totally different bikes. The mirrors I changed 2 days after collecting the bike. With the stock mirrors - my shoulders covered 80% of the view and were also shaking like crazy at certain revs. The seat is one of the best from the stock seats I have seen for a long time. Thank you for comment.
