Great racing, really enjoyed the Canadian / Spanish race. Even though I am Canadian, happy to see Spain get into the finals, they earned it. They were sailing well in the first 4 races.

@@BRMCaptChaos Denmark tacked in the turning circle so they forfeited rounding rights to Canada. Since overlap between Denmark and Canada was established through a tack, the leeward boat, Canada, does not have to sail its proper course. Leeward boats only need to sail their proper course if overlap is established with a windward boat from astern.

The use of the word "impact" in recent years just baffles me. Used to be that we wanted to reduce impact or do "no impact" camping. Now impact investing and impact league are helping the environment. Seems like there needs to be another word along with the word "impact" for it to be at all clear.

This racing was nailbiting from my perspective. Are you an active sailor who relishes getting the best performance possible in light airs? It can be far more interesting that sailing in a steady breeze, and is definitely a better test of skill and composure.

@@lizdavis9535 I am an active sailor and sailboat racer and travel throughout Europe to race. Light airs sailing can be very interesting and a great challenge. However in this case, the course was split in two and if you went up the beat on the right hand side you were toast in both the light stuff on Sunday but also in the stronger breeze on Saturday. SailGP want to be at the forefront of high performance sailboat racing. The organisers should therefore provide a venue that is fir for purpose and not best suited for champagne drinking celebs that don't know two cents about what's going on having the best view while obscuring the racing.

Just because they’re simply the best all around. Lead is getting bigger once again. Simple tactics. Best team on the best boat, scoring most points overall. It’s the Red Bull in GP Sailing. And a LOT of people hate Red Bull and Mac for dominance in F1, but there are also a LOT of fans out there. Same with the Aussies in sailing. Love or hate them, they’re a great sailing crew on a great sailing boat!
