I own the Nissan Rogue Platinum and I'm very happy with the ride and the style not to mention the gas mileage I have the peanut butter interior ❤
I have Rogue SV with Premium Package and love it. Amazing value and fun to drive with quality looking/feeling interior.
Definitely Nissan with engine, interior, and features. Don't worry about Nissan's CVT, they've mastered it. Just stay up on servicing and you're fine. Hard to go back to regular automatic after getting used to the smooth operation of their CVT's
I'd go with the Nissan Rogue for sure. The engine fire stories with Kias scare me from buying them.
Been driving my 2023 Nissan rogue as my weekend vehicle & I love it. I also drive a 2023 Kia Forte as my work commuter and I love that car too.
Excellent review sir. Great information
Just sold my Kia , getting a Rouge
I just leased a Rogue Platinum 2023 and received it yesterday. In fact its the exact same one showing here. I absolutely love it. Great family car, comfortable for my wife. Has all the features you will ever need. Excellent luxurious interior in my opinion.

I agree it's one of the best in class. Especially all Platinum versions are made in Japan.

@massari4u does it has fog lights because iam also planning to get one and since its 3 cylinder because now all the cars are with 4 cylinders.. Will there be any issue

@@fijijames3167 Yes, the platinum variant has fog lights. I don't think there are any issues reported about 3 cylinder engines so far, We need to see how it performs in the long run.

@@Gopinathk17 thanks for the info. Only bit curious about 3 cylinder as I know it will be fuel efficient but as you mentioned we need to see how it performs in the long run.

@@Gopinathk17 also the mirrors needs to be adjusted manually right??
We've had the KIA Sportage PHEV and have yet to spend any $$$ on gas with over 1,300 kms (800 miles) on it. Love it!!!
I chose Rogue 23 Platinum AWD. Shifting from 2019 Platinum Maxima, so I miss cooled front seats and electronically adjusted steering wheel, but Pro-Pilot Assist, cargo area, heads up display and large display are just a few of the features that more than compensate. Regular gas with fast pick up really sealed the deal. I’ve had it almost 6 months with no regrets.
I have the kia sportage hybrid Sx Prestige and it is the best Sportage to buy. I get 40mpg on the city and highway. I recently took a 550-mile trip it was so smooth on the highway and the HDA made the driving so easy and stress-free. I was chilling and covered those miles... ** FYI the Sportage has 39.3 cubic ft of cargo volume and I don't know where you got your 36.3 from
Going to get the Rogue Platinum.
Kia sportage! I got a sportage x-pro, I do some off roading with it too love it!
Does the KIA have a hybrid drive train option?
You mentioned on both that they don't have "power steering wheel adjustment". I don't know of a single suv/cuv in this price range that has it or offers it. You have to go larger and add 15K bucks!
@Ricky-mo6mv

That’s absolutely true.
The Rogue for sure.
How can you compare a 35K with a 41K? That is 6K difference, I would have liked a summary that would indicate the price difference.
The Rogue. No doubt! I wish Nissan bring their Hybrids technology to NA. The Hybrid Rogue they sell in Europe (X-Trail) is just superb.
My vote is for Kia. Kia can blow that Nissan out of water. Absolutely no another CVT for sure. Kia's Lane Keeping Assist itself worth paying for. Not to mention more space than Rogue.

Nissan’s new CVTs are good quality. After trial and error they mastered. The CVT makes sense on the Rogue. It runs smooth, it is fuel efficient, and and it’s powerful too. Kia and Hyundai try so hard with their designs and they have had literally life threatening recalls. This Rogue is better than the Sportage IMO. Kias interior materials go to sh!t surprisingly quick also
Kia Sportage is the one! Beautiful interior - high tech saftety features. Love the HUGE built in screen and the Blind spot cameras that turn on when you signal. The list goes on.
I owned a Kia optima a few years back. Will NEVER own one again. See, here is where they get you- they cram all these cool tech gadgets and things that you would find in higher priced vehicles as eye candy…what you don’t realize is the parts you don’t see, are terrible and wear really bad. Within 2 years my car (which was always garaged and regularly serviced) had an engine issue, followed by other things…. Their exteriors look great, they have tons of amenities, but the quality is bad….
Kia KILLED with the styling looks futuristic and more premium.

I bought a Rogue. I think the Rogues interior feels higher quality and made of better materials but Kias definitely looks higher quality. Most people watching videos will choose the sportage but when you sit in it and drive it, I’d go for the Nissan
NISSAN ROGUE SL AWD GIVES BEST QUALITY AND TECH WITH A GOOD NOSE TO TAIL WARRENTY FOR MY NEEDS.
Definitely, I go with the Kia Sportage! I can get an hybrid or PHEV variant, unlike the Rogue. Its bigger and more modern/futuristic than the Rogue. And personally, I think the technology in the Sportage is way better than the Rogue. Smaht Pahk, anyone?

That's exactly what I thought until I went to a kia dealership with no sportages available and pre-order times for hybrids are 6-8 months. Hybrids also have the highest mark ups.

What technology do you think is better on Kia than Nissan ?
have the rogue midnight canada version, super value. kia are become better and better, but not the fuel economy yet. the biggest plus is this gen rogue changed to a luk chain cvt, not bosch belt anymore.

So you think the latest CVTs are any better?
@fanli279

@@Gopinathk17 chain cvt cost more, and have more lifetime and maximum torque than belt cvt。we have 19 rogue sport(qashqai in canada)with the old version jatco cvt for 4 years/65000km,no problem 。this new rogue 3cylinder turbo with new cvt have much better fuel economy and very responsive acceleration。also better nvh, less noise。
I do not trust Kia. I recently purchased a Platinum Rogue, and it is great!

NISSAN IS THE ONE TO GET ♥️
Both
The Rogue
Neither right now. I’m taking a hiatus from SUVs, simply because I don’t need one most of the time. They are nice to have in a pinch however (like moving for example). I traded in my 2012 Nissan Murano for a 2020 Kia Optima, best decision ever. The Optima is cheaper on gas, and a sedan just makes more sense for me right now as a single male.

Great point Marcus
I choose the Kia.
Has anyone disliked the back seatbelts cutting into your neck? It sits too high for my teen kids and myself. I’m torn between both the Kia or Nissan. Both are beautiful cars.
F that 3cylinder CVT sh*t. My sportage 23's top of the line trim is the real deal.
Why do you need cool seats,to fall asleep or get arthritis 🤦🏾♂️
It’s a no brainer. The Rogue has absolutely nothing over the Sportage. Everything about it is significantly inferior. Also, people may question KIA/Hyundai reliability, but it’s well known that the Rogue is traditionally done after 100,000 miles.
If you choose the Kia over the Rogue, 🤣…..you’re not paying attention
Not much road test ... too much mouth running
Between Hyundai/Kia's $1.3 billion settlement less than 2 years ago for engine fires and Nissan's JATCO transmission catastrophe...I wouldn't consider either of these, much less suggest anyone else buy them. .
Kia easily. Nissan is a ticking timebomb with that CVT.

I just bought the Rogue, and I love it. I'll never buy another one, because the scum at Nissan Rogue refuse to sell me a service manual for $210 - like I've purchased for every car I've ever owned - but now want me to pay $900 a year for a subscription to look at it online. Screw 'em. When this one breaks, I'll have it towed to the dump and buy another brand.
