Good alternative for Maruti cars

Which car is Best in city riding that Nissan Magnite AMT or Maruti Ignis AMT?

Test ride both vehicles if you want power forget the NA engine 1L. But I think all together Ignis might be a good deal but Magnite is spacy more safe . Features idk much about it as it varies according to the variants. If you love driving then your preference should be driving dynamics focused if that's the case then a responsive engine and a slightly heavy steering wheel feedback might be something you want(maruti cars in 2012 had it idk about current gen versions) . If it's only for city drives then 1L magnite NA amt is enough i guess and 1.2 amt ignis will be more responsive compared to its power to weight ratio as it weighs less than Magnite.

Nisan has the potential to give good compensation to Suzuki, Hyundai, they must have expanded their network & investment in India.

Replacing the cvt with an amt transmission gearbox is actually a downgrade for all tense and purposes.

Amt have advantage over cvt, A passionate driver can drive in manual mode with +, -. At the same time automatic mode can be driven for those needed. With cheap and fuel efficient, low maintenance amt

I have taken test drive of Kiger AMT and MT with 1.0 litre engine , same as in Magnite. The MT was Okayish in city but AMT was very underpowered. I drive 2018 baleno diesel which is somewhat lazy engine. I found the Kiger AMT performance more worse than that also. I drove the new 1.2 maruti engine also. Its super smooth, powerful and fuel efficient too. Maruti has mastered their engines and Nissan's 1.0 engine is no match for that.

The power difference you might have experienced in Wagonr might be cuz of the less weight it had(plus it's a 1.2l). Magnite is a bit on the heavier side(so a heavy car with 1L na/[Idk if a turbo version is gonna do much difference but for a less heavy car it can still be great with 1L turbo]). Coming to Magnite it should definitely be 100kg above Wagonr that's for sure. So if someone chooses Magnite they might get a bit more safe cabin for the money spent so to speak compared to Wagonr (where power to weight ratio and engine capacity is high but is built poorly ) . There are downsides for each car . So i think it's up to the person who buys it according to his taste, there are people who views cars as just a means of transport and no other sentiments for them every car is just a car no matter what lol and then there are others who knows what they are buying and what they want that will definitely be the deciding factor.

Maruti Suzuki India must make 4 star ⭐ car learn from nissan.
