Regarding the speed alert chiming Andrew says it keeps on sounding until you slow back to the road sign speed but this is not my experience in my 2023 Seltos. If I am over the speed sign limit it chimes 3 times and that's all, no more chiming even if I choose to travel faster. If within that same speed zone I slow back and increase again it wont chime again until the camera sights another road speed sign. With all the city road speed changes I have found it a positive assistance and help to not make an unattended speeding mistake.

I had a sport + AWD as a rental for a month, did 4000km taking it interstate and the fuel economy is woeful, even on the Sydney Brisbane drive, the best I got was 7.2 in eco mode, around town I was averaging 9.7, for comparison, my Golf GTI averages 6.8 on the highway and 9.9 around town.

The wait times in Australia for the Kia Seltos is ridiculous, ordered in December 2022 still waiting September 2023

"No need to splurge cause itll take the cheapest fuel" meanwhile the mrs has a 2019 GT and Kia has now told her that they are sure that the reason why the engine is pinging is because she was running 91 and has to now use 95 or higher. She has now been recommended to use that for the foreseable future

No LED headlights or LED daytime running lamps unless you buy the top spec model. 46k. Madness. A base 23 thousand dollar car has LED daytime running lamps.

That chime for speed put me off this thing. Same with the new Kona. Every bags that chime. does anyone know if it helps with the safety rating?? Or else why wouldn't you listen to people consistently complaining about it.

Just about everyone complains about the speed alert system. It spoils an otherwise great car. Presumably the speed alert system uses a camera(s). Is it possible to cover the camera(s) with tape to permanently disable it? Or is there a fuse you can pull to disable it? I detest computers telling me how to drive.

Great review.. I tested that Seltos configuration and the spped alert drive me crazy. I thought the new Subaru Crosstrek S was a better car anyway. Also.. Nice Earth Moonswatch.

At 45+ AUD, Personally, the XUV700 or Scorpio N from Mahindra makes lot more sense

I went to a car dealer today and asked him this Q he said 2wd is putting the force on 2 wheels whereas 4wd on 4 wheels . I think 4wd is better but you can still ask 🙂

@@a.m2020 When you damage one tire, the recommendation is the replace all 4, if it is a true AWD system. Gas mileage suffers. Actually it is not great gas mileage for a 1.6 LT turbo engine anyway. And the annoying beeping going on --- forget it!

It’s actually 44K for the GT line which is a good price considering it’s the top of the line version.

So how is this "long-term" review any different from a normal "short-term" review?

It would be even better if it was around 38k!
