I bought a 2023 Carnival Prestige a few weeks ago and I love it. It has so many features and 5 yr bumper to bumper along with roadside . 10 yr. Motor and trans .Its v6 . I have the reclining bucket seats on second roll. It has wifi hotspot free for 3 months with verizon. For the money and all the options ,there is no comparison, because others were more expensive for same. I checked. Only drawback 8 months waiting because they have to be ordered. Also can't get all wheel drive. Also it gets about the same gas mileage that my Nissan Rogue gets. Could be my driving .

Just test drove the sx trim yesturday and I am sold !! The carnival is incredible in everyway

I have my eye on this as my next family vehicle. We have the Xline limited top trim Sportage with all the same features and love it. Love that it fits 8. I don’t think these vans need AWD which is probably why most don’t come I them.

I like the look of this one. Inside and out. I also like how it looks like an SUV to me and not a minivan.

With today's economy, it's the king for a single person's emergency stealth camper. I would take off a couple of seats, add some extra live in features, the aftermarket pop-up camper taking advantage of the sunroof pass-through, turning this thing into a part-time R/V'ing machine.

I’m somebody who cleans the interior of my car regularly and a little wiping with a mild cleaning spray and a microfiber cloth works wonders to keep fingerprints from showing. It may be extra maintenance but to me it’s minimal compared to the positives of the vehicle.

I hate gloss black. It gets scratched so easy

Very modern and functional but where is the spare full sized spare tire , perferably with a matching aluminum rim and tire as on the van ?.

the spare tire is under the right passenger on the second row seats.

The lack of AWD and a hybrid option is a huge miss for KIA. I see no good reason to get this vs a Toyota Sienna with around 650 miles of range, the real king of road trips.

the underpowered and/or overworked engine in the sienna is one, the hybrid system with soy-based coated wiring harnesses is another thing. Rats love them. It’s also less cargo capacity and the warranty is nothing in comparison to the Kia warranty. The V6 they use isn’t much different from the lambda v6 in the previous Kia van Sedona, which was a pretty sturdy engine and proved very reliable to a lot of owners. In my opinion I would say it’s a better pick over the sienna. It also accomplishes the aggressive exterior style better and comes out cheaper in the end

We could change the name of the “glove box” to “random shit box” “Random shit I don’t care about box” or “ what the hell do I do with these papers box”

It's abundantly obvious covid did not affect the production of gloss black plastic like it did semiconductors. Too bad. I find it interesting, Hyundai is probably one of the quickest manufacturers to implement change according to consumer feedback. yet here we are with a literal boat load of finger print magnets. In a vehicle built for someone with a army of children. We all know they like to touch everything. Unless nobody has told the automotive world we don't care for it. At least in certain areas.

The gloss is mainly in the front, so it won't be an issue unless your kids ride in the front seat.

It also peels on exterior - EV9 put it in the worst place - around fenders. My vehicle has it on the rear view mirrors and doors and it’s peeling the clear in the heat

What are you smoking. The 23 sienna doesn’t even have everything this has. Plus the all the Toyota interiors and tech looks and feel so dated it’s disgusting. They need to stop riding their reliability train and start designing better interiors and offer better tech.

The poor tow rating on this engine of only 2,500 lbs was a deal breaker for me. The same engine in the sorento tows 5,000lbs. I just don't get it.

No thats the only drawback and actually Kia doesn't classify it as a van its a MPV (a multi purpose vehicle)

I believe the motor configuration Is different in the Carnival and would be more even with Toyota

My biggest knock in this is exterior styling. To me, and maybe I'm in the minority, it is one of the ugliest vehicles on the road. That and no local dealer has them. An Odyssey looks a lot better to me and has the better powertrain and a more functional second row design but Kia does better with the interior tech for sure and overall practicality a draw. Honda needs to update the Odyssey with a 360 camera, digital mirror, etc.

Unless you're In snow it wouldn't matter besides front wheel drive only you can pull through most snow anyway and no AWD means less items to break and fix

I have Odyssey and while driving everything shut down on me. Fortunately i’m only 3 mile away from Honda dealership. Main electronic board shut broke down. I have had a lot of recalls with my Odyssey, changed driver’s power seat that cost almost $3,000 dollars, and rustling noise in the engine compartment since day one. Good thing i bought $120k extended warranty or 8 years. Too many problems for Elite model. That’s why im here in this looking to get Kia. no more Honda for me. Looking to trade mine in. 3:42

We have a Honda Odyssey elite 2019 22K miles numerous discharge batteries, numerous recalls the last straw was when the Pearl white paint $500 option started flaking off. Waiting for carnival SX to be delivered, done with Honda.

Odyssey has a very problematic transmission that is ran via buttons, and it has a slew of issues with electronics and even brakes. Not as bulletproof as they used to be.
