Maybe it would. My dad use to have an old Yamaha IT250G. That thing was a beast. Beat the hell out of it. Sometimes throttle would stick and the bike would just sit there bouncing off the limiter. The thing started on three kicks after sitting for 10 years too

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER rev your bike that much as soon as you start it let it warm up for a couple seconds you will mess your bike up

That's not a rev limiter,its the reeds bouncing/fluttering. You need a bike with efi to have rev limiter, like one of the new ktms.i know the 125/150/250 2 stroke ktms have efi,i would imagine gas gas and husky have them too now,seeing as theyre the same company pretty much.not sure about their smaller bikes like the 85 and 100/112cc though.
