The Eye Cancer Foundation sponsored the ISOO Africa conference this year, while also giving our ECF fellows travel grants to get to Mombasa, Kenya and take part in the conference. Most of our fellows presented their ECF-sponsored research on topics related to ocular oncology such as retinoblastoma. These included aspects on the diagnosis and treatment of retinoblastoma in Uganda and Nigeria, the advisor, new ECF-sponsored International Retinoblastoma Comprehensive Course (IRBCC), the ECF-enabled ophthalmic pathology department in Amman, Jordan. We are proud to support Dr. Yacoub Yousef of Amman describing this first ever, open-access IRBCC course created to help train eye doctors around the world. Dr. Vicktoria Dai from Sheba Medical Center, Israel was reunited with her ECF fellow, Dr. Anne Musika who is now treating children with retinoblastoma in Uganda!
