Fantastic car and in my opinion it's the best all-round BMW currently in production. When I'm in the market for another executive saloon, I'll definitely consider a 530e as well as the new Jaguar XF. It'll be a tough choice.

I think that's a pretty easy choice to be honest! I'd take the 5 anyday, everyday..I've driven an XF and it was largely unimpressive..infotainment system laggy, I don't really like the looks, the drive and I don't like the idea of breaking down on the side of the road in a brand new Jag every so often!

@@PeteDrives... Haha thanks for the reply. I actually have a Jaguar XF at the moment, but its on a 12 plate, so one of the last of the good ones in my opinion. In 2015 when the new model came out, the build quality, materials and the styling went south unfortunately. There is a facelifted model that's just come out as of this year and it looks miles better, but I'd honestly need to sit in one first. As for BMW, I'm not too familiar with them actually. I've just applied for a sales executive position with them, so I'm learning as much as I can about their vehicles as quick as possible. The 530e is the one that has got my eye as it provides great performance, good looks, luxury, and plenty of space, all whilst being very reasonable to run. I always thought BMW was too common, but now I'm doing my homework I can see why they sell so well. They're fantastic!

@@TheWhiskeyMan-rk7qv Ah fair point man, the older Jags definitely look cool, they're just not my type, I guess! :) Good luck with your application and welcome to the BMW family for when you get one ;) , you're going to love the 530e, it's an awwesome car, great efficiency but also surprisingly quick because of the electric engine..or even better, 545e would be the sweet spot as that has the B58 6-cylinder engine!

How do you find the output of the LED headlights? I have heard from the pre LCI owners that they found the LED headlights to be inadequate

Excellent and never had an issue! I had a pre-LCI G30 520d too with the std. LED Headlights, they were great -bright, good looking and didn't dazzle other road users. Definitely wouldn't say inadequate.

is this 5 quieter than the g20 3 series you had? i mean sound isolation from the outside

Yes, buddy. It's definitely quieter - not LOADS quieter because the G20 was already very quiet and refined but the 5 series is definitely quieter and more comfortable. On a nice road, there's almost no outside noise.

No, that's how it comes. Standard in the UK, possibly optional in other markets.

They do indeed, and on the 5 series, the front and side windows have a special acoustic glazing film !

I think in total, it's 6 different colours and then 5 additional ones with a white accent. So 11 options in total.

The orange seems quite red in the video. I like the traditional orange that BMW started out with. But in your video, the orange seems quite red. Is it?

I'm pretty sure those lights are able to lower the brightness, right? it seems kind of too much when you are driving long distances at night, if you have those disco lights all over your eyes. lol

You can reduce the lights, yeah. There's a setting for night driving which dims the lights so they don't bother you on long trips.

They do, I think it's just a bit hard to see because it's dark..you can see them when you put the video in 4K I think :)

I think it's a difficult one bro. It really depends what you want the car for. If you want a sportier, more fun car - 3 Series definitely! If you want comfort and refinement, 5 series! What about you?

I have a 2019, Brilliant car but I do wish BMW would stop the orange 🍊 lighting behind the buttons etc, it’s so outdated . Blue or white are the way forward.

In my opinion, its a part of BMW's signature. It helps with giving the cars a character and personality that no other brand can keep up with.

there is a reason for the orange light - its the colour that least interfers with your night vision. In WW2 airplanes, all the dials are orange for this reason. I loved the all orange in the older BMW's - it was soooo good for night driving. The old ones even had an adjustable dial that you could dim it right down. So useful. I really really dislike the look of the lighting in the new premium cars (for example, the new S class, and BMW even doing those different coloured stripes around the cabin). They really cheapen the look, and remind me of a god awful disco in a crap tourist town on the med, somewhere like Mikinos or something. Just no class whatsoever.
