Our comprehensive review of the 202 Ducati Diavel V4 with our BT Moto ECU Flash. We include before and after comparisons, dyno, as well as Dragy 60-130 data, a standard performance benchmark.
We also go over common customer complaints about the bike and how our flash rectifies each, in real time.

    My take away is that, based on the the chart @ 20:22 and the edited clarification that the green line is the Akra. exhaust, the BT flash provides some performance improvements plus some livability tweaks, e.g., disabling the rear cylinder deactivation. But, compared to "bone stock", the after market 'Akra' exhaust provides nothing but a change in sound signature. The stock bike has more power than I'll ever need. The BT flash sounds like it smooths over the rough edges, but forget ever laying out that kind of cash (est $6,000 installed) for an exhaust system that does not provide meaningful gains in performance. Compared to that, the BT ECU flash is a bargain and then some.

    Nice to see the Akra map. I bought a 2024 and left it there over the winter to have the exhaust/tune put in. Also was nice to see the round mirrors, as I was debating if I wanted those vs a different shape.

    It was nice to see the Ducati Akra map dyno number. I wonder if you dynoed the ducati Akra map for the euro 5 streetfighter v4s. I never seen numbers for the akra map on that bike!

    Is the remap done with a performance filter such as K&N (same part number as for the Multistrada V4 and others).

    I have the Diavel V4 and I live in Fallbrook. I wish I could have taken some turns with you. I would definitely consider the flash. Also, the Akro exhaust sounds great but the dealer always says they wont install it unless it’s only used on track (unregistered).

    Does that cylinder deactivation only deactivate fuel or does it integrate valve train as well?

    From the shorts you posted , how is that touching 300kph+? All other Diavel's have a top speed of around 270kph. So the BT Moto flash unlocks the top speed?

    Very interesting to see the akra map does F.A saying u pay a fortune for the products from dealer. Can u show this for aprilia too? I have akra dealer map on tuono and it sucks!

    I'll stick with my Akro map. I haven't noticed any jerkiness in the transition from two to four cylinders and I love the thump of the two. The slight difference in power I'll never use or notice and I also like the fact that I'll never have to worry about changing the mapping for the dealer. I'm unsure about those round mirrors on a modern, angular bike.

    I know you compare this to a Rocket3 but this bike seems to be similar in specs as a Speed Triple 1200 RS. Where the power is, the rpm range, the size, the weight, the acceleration. Just all seems so similar.

    With that increase in rev limiter, that bike would be a screamer with some cams to make better usage of that powerband. I bet you could get 175rwhp with a set of cams from one of their other V4's with more duration. Man, I want that bike so bad. Selling my 2014 ZX6R and rebuilding an 07 GSX-R 750 to sell to get me a hypernaked. This bike is on my shortlist, but I know I can't afford it. Got the Tuono 1100 RR/Factory (RSV4 was my dream bike) and SuperDuke R 1290 (REALLY want the 1390 Evo) on the list

    I live in Sacramento CA and the dealership refused to install the Akropovic exhaust on my Diavel V4. How did you get It installed on your Diavel V4 and did you have to map yourself?

    Find another dealer. The akro exhaust is a dealer ordered and installed item.

    Thanks for the review and info. I'm hoping that Ducati is going through this V4 phase until they can get emissions sorted out with the twins. I can 't believe what I am hearing about the lack of power off the line. This Diavel has lost the magic for sure. It doesn't look special, it doesn't sound special (even with a $6000 exhaust), and it sounds like it doesn't perform that well either. Keep in mind this bike is selling for well over $25,000. I miss my 1198 Testestratta Diavel. I will be looking for a 1260s. P.S. Ducati, we don't need "manners" we want raw power and a beast of a bike!

    Hmmm not sure where your info is coming from but the reviews of the V4 have been nothing but glowing. Handles amazingly performs amazingly. I have one and absolutely love it. You might want to go ride one then have an informed opinion. Oh it sounds incredible in person with the Akra exhaust. KZread dormant do it justice!

    @@BT_Moto One last question. If Injave an aftermarket exhaust installed that is not part of your list of exhausts then will the flash unit still work or will it possibly cause service lights on the dash?

    Hi. Does your map void the warranty. Ducati say the new exhaust should give at least 8bhp. I think you dynod it with the new exhaust on. You should have done the dyno with the original exhaust and then with the acro exhaust.

    The bike was bought from the dealer with the exhaust on. Mapping can be put back to stock at any time via our handheld.

    point to note standard cylinder deactivation is at 4krpm (not zero or when in nuetral/1st) .... below 4krpm is on 2 cylinders, above 4krpm is on 4 cylinders .... good vid though up map interesting
