Congrats on the Z! The most important thing I learned at the Ron Fellows school is that the “basic” Stingray with Z51 has much more capability than I could possible achieve, especially at my “mature” age. That reaization came about when I rode on track with one of the instructors. As a result, it would be a waste of money for me to go with a Z06 - as much as I’d love to drive one. it would be kind of like buying a Stradivarius for a Junior high violin student. Can’t wait for more Savagegeese videos.

It’s the same color as my C8 that you guys did. It looks fantastic. Not a fan of light colored interiors though. I’ll have to keep my poor man’s C8 though, just can’t afford the Z06 until the lottery ticket hits.😊

You simply CANNOT wear jeans in a light shaded leather interior is the rule. Whether you have to take a change of clothing or simply never wear them driving. Love to see the Savage Geese dudes ripping in the Z06.

Awesome car with a crazy chassis and the flat plane crank. That exhaust is not the normal stock car sound at the straights of Daytona but I really like it. I have never owned a Corvette but my family owned a lot of them so they are cool.

7:20 exactly, he got it right. An aftermarket exhaust on this, will sound louder, not better. Streetspeed717 just installed a fabspeed exhaust on the Z06, it sounds louder yes, but has lost that high pitch (or at least is less high pitched) and it sounds way less refined compared to the stock system.

The first regular C8 I did had the same circle on the engine hatch hope they can avoid that in the future

Any factory imperfections adds to the cars value later.

I like the carbon fiber interior option better but still looks good . I like the exterior color a lot .

Curious on the cost to do the PPF

Made up my mind 911 turbo quality reliability is there. C8 looks great enjoy!

I am on a dealer's list for a Z06 (placed a deposit Sep 2020.) Since this video is focused on the appearance and protection, I am concerned with the visible Z07 carbon fiber pkg which I will have on mine. I will be running it at Road Atlanta. From what I understand, it is hard to correct damage to CF; whereas, painted surfaces are easier to do touch-up. Maybe the pained Z07 pkg is better?

If you have Z06 money, you have paint protection money. Go pay to have it protected. It’s not that serious…

I laugh with Jason talking about panel gap’s and stuff they see I’m a 30 year collision technician at a multi brand dealership I’ve seen some things 😁

Really? Considering GM makes a few thousand cars a day, are all those transmissions failing? Thing is, you hear of one car with an issue, you're now tainting every vehicle the same, based on nothing.

Savage geese has over 600k subscribers and are arguably the best automotive journalists on KZread. Watch their hour long documentary on this car where they met with the engineers and designers and you’ll understand why I say that. It’s TV level production quality. My guess is because they did that documentary, they got bumped up on the delivery list, but obviously I can’t say for sure.

Bill i think your comment is fair and my statement about not being a corvette guy isnt entirely accurate. When it comes to how i got such a early build it has to do with my close working relationship with the team at gm and our video projects with them. If you like engineering and the technical side of cars at our main page(savagegeese) we put together a nearly hour long documentary on the c8z i think you will enjoy it. The statement about not being a corvette guy is more of a statement about how i didnt worship at the feet of the corvette from a ownership perspective. I came from a c7 gs which i loved but i accepted the good and the bad.

Chevy is all over the place on who gets one. Chevy is trying to an exotic company but we all know it’s still a Chevy. They were not prepared on how to sell the C8Z.
