2023 Color The Wind Kite Festival - Clear Lake, IA
It was slippery out there for my 4th Color The Wind, but the wind came in like a champ around 10:30 am. Flew the Maxi Ray and Maxi Crab, the Jordan Pro AirForm 200, and some smaller items. Looks like it would be fun with a power foil and slick shoes, or a sled. Getting back to the car might be tricky, tho.

Well that was an epic success. I couldn't help but wonder if the flyers equip with ice crampons. Taking a tumble would be a bother. New patriot octo in the mix. The angelfish filled out well too.

Quite a day! We do wear ice cleats when it's solid ice like this. Next wee in Iron Mountain we'll wear snow boots.

Just wow! One of the best displays on the ice I’ve seen. Really beautiful effect with the sheen of the ice reflections. Amazing array of kites and what a turnout. Kudos to everyone and another super event capture Michael.
