I feel ya!! My 23’ Colorado ZR2 has been plagued with issues from day one. Waited 2 months for a new turbo, so truck sat at the dealer. Then got it back for only a few days And more check engine lights and codes. Then the heater unit was making terrible noises, replaced actuators. Then a clunking sound over every bump from the rear suspension, replaced bushings that were a recall from GM. And the infotainment has been super glitchy. Sometimes CarPlay works. It rarely remembers the speedo dash I like. And it takes forever sometimes for the display to even start up. And now the remote start hasn’t been working with either the app or the remote and no I don’t have a check engine light currently. Been pretty terrible so far.

Thanks for watching and wow! I'm sorry that yours has been so bad. That makes mine seem like it's perfect. I've never been able to login to the app for some reason. Hopefully they get yours working properly or do something to make it right. These trucks aren't cheap.

Do the lemon law. After either/or 4 visits for the same issue or 30 days at the dealership you qualify. I just won my arbitration case against GM for my 23 Trail Boss because of a bad ECM. Had issues from day 1 because of it. So I am just now starting the negotiation phase for a replacement. I did it without a lawyer. But if you use one it is free. Contact GM first and then they will have you go through BBB. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING! The bad thing is that they are not shipping right now. I just ordered a 24 ZR2 so we will see what happens. Sounds like you had the same kind of constant problems that I had with my 2016 Tacoma. I was on the verge of talking to a lawyer about lemon law.

There's a recall on the cracked blocks. They're going to put new engines in them. Apparently had some with bad castings. Hope you don't have anything that serious.

Thanks for watching! I'm curious how they know which blocks are bad for the recall. Seems like they wouldn't know until they come in unless it's just a certain batch. I'll look into it.

Mine is going in on Wednesday to diagnose the coolant loss. I’m losing about a cup of coolant every 100 miles or so. *update* leak was cause by “failed inner seal at upper radiator hose” they replaced the hose under warranty.

That's not great. Message me back what you find out. I decided to put some miles on to see what mine does. 450 miles today and it doesn't look too bad. Hopefully mine doesn't speed up like yours because we're going to Mexico! I'll keep everyone updated if mine changes.

Check for the recall. That and an additional one for the brakes suddenly locking up. Damn I miss my tacoma!

Thanks! I have the auto braking turned off because they locked up on me once. I'll check for recalls on my VIN but haven't received anything in the mail so far.

One of the TFL guys are having problems with his Colorado as well.

"Luckily" I only have gaps on the passenger side, but it is causing the seal on the window to roll back. I've installed ditch lights and am a little worried that the dealership will say it's because of the ditch lights, so I'm probably going to refer this video. Any recommendation on what or how to argue with them if they do blame the ditch lights. It's all over the internet that the gap is an issue, hopefully they know about by now. Also, does you engine seem to run hot, normally? My fenders seems to feel warm, even after driving short distance. I don't seem to have a coolant issue. On my gage while I'm driving, it seems to always be pass the halfway point on the temperature readings.

Thanks for sharing. My guess is that they know about the clips and the ditch lights won't be an issue. With that said, I'd always be prepared to show them the reports in the Facebook groups/forums if you get hassled. Mine doesn't seem to run too hot. It usually sits around 198 degrees and will jump up to around 212 when working hard. I remember people wondering about it and thought there was a release from GM saying that they are fine and the reading is not accurate. It never hurts to ask and have it on record though.

Thanks! It almost seems to be the new norm with modern vehicles. I have a feeling it's something minor that they won't be able to track down for a while.

is there a website where u put your vin to check if your engine is affected by the crack ?

Yes, I found a GM website where you can input your VIN and it will tell you if there are any recalls, not just the engine issue. Ours didn't list recalls any when I checked last week.

I'm wondering how they are determining if you have a bad block. I think I read that they claimed there were 12 recalled. Makes me wonder how they would know which ones were bad. We'll see what they say soon.

Thanks for watching! I brought it in and they said that I need a new radiator. They don't have an estimated date for the part so they told me to pick it up and keep driving it. I'm hoping the part comes soon. It has been several weeks now.

Generally, public does not care there are differences between GM and Ford business models / agendas. Ford trucks are top sellers. GM is a less profitable operation. Truck in video - no physical light control, it's in infotainment screen - Absurd.

The lights are automatic, so who cares? The only time I touch my light switch is when I’m idling in a public place for a long period as not to be blinding people. The complaint about the light switch on these trucks seems like something Karen’s need to bitch about 🙄

Biggest POS. Chevy is known for this crap. Giving the consumer the vehicles to test... Now dealers can't sell them (colorados) because of software issues... AND, now they're figuring out that the 2.7 blocks are junk. Blocks cast incorrectly. NOTE: GMC canyons don't have the same recalls... Think about that? AND, add on top that Chevy is the worst honoring warranties, that you might as well get cars shield when you buy a Chevy or GM product. I hope it's nothing serious, but I have a feeling I will be hearing more about this in the very near future.

Thanks for watching! I fully expect any issues to be covered under warranty......and corrected. I would imagine they would be in trouble real quick if they didn't honor the bumper to bumper warranty.
