They have redesigned the door handles for 2024, they now present similar to how the EV6 does. Then you just pull them to open the doors. Great video!
When Andrea stands on that pedal you can see she's really into it haha. Have fun guys!! 🇨🇦
I've been waiting for this review! Happy to see my fav youtube couple put out outstanding content so often!
I looked at one a couple of months ago, two issues for me, yes those door handles are an issue and the door to the charging port felt very flimsy and the door opening down means it's going to take hits. Loved the fact that there are physical buttons for the HVAC.
This is why people watch car reviews, to get useful information on why to buy a certain vehicle or another! Features and benefits along with educated opinions on quality, fit and finish!!! You are the BEST!!

@BoriVakorn I love Cadillacs and have bought launch models before. However, Lyriq has been having a lot of issues, like a lot. It drives well, and it's luxurious, but only if it is reliable. I am having some reliability issues as it has been more with the dealership service than my garage 🙃
You guys do such a great job on your reviews. Thank you!
This is the best looking EV on the market IMO
When comparing my 2023 Lyriq 600e4 to previous cars (Porche's, Audi's, Continental's), the Lyriq is my "so-so" car. SO ... quiet; SO ... smooth; SO ... powerful; SO ... smart; and SO ... relaxing (when using SuperCruise)! This is a MUST car to test drive when buying a new car. In actual use, door handles are fine and the rear wiper has not been missed. Both are academic issues.
This has to be the the best looking Caddy out there. Looks like a strong lifted wagon which I'm perfectly ok with.
Great review as always! Thank you!
Oh, baby!! That is a Cadillac!! It makes Audi, BMW, and MB look bland. Plush and posh!! I looks like a corporate jet interior!! The rear wiper has been replaced with a rear spoiler that directs air flow down onto the rear windshield. You both look great in it!!
Love the design. It’s like modern Art Deco. ❤
I’m really excited for the reviews of the blazer and equinox! Thanks for the Lyriq review!
Looks good. Don’t understand why many manufacturers need to redesign door handles.

Exactly right, it's one of the few things I loathe about many new evs. 🙂 Why have a so called flush handle area you then have to push or swipe down just to enter and then the door pops out, but for most you still have to grab the door frame to swing it open. 😀

I hope they are finally getting their act together. I ordered one last year and it was a very bad experience. The dealer didn't contact me. After multiple tries I went down to visit them and the rep didn't know much but allow me to configure one. They also informed me that I had to take their $2,000 customer car package that included things like OIL CHANGES, really! They didn't even call me when GM came in to allow test drives. So when Tesla dropped the price on the Model Y I purchased one.

You gave the LYRIQ a great review. It is nice that a "domestic" manufacturer did such a nice job on the design and implementation. I have a cousin that has one ordered. He is a Cadillac fan. His cabin at the lake is about 250 km away from his home. So that would be 500 km for a round trip. . . . oops for the winter. He might have to stop for a coffee, especially in the winter. 😮 He tells me that I am old fashioned. Well, what do you call wearing mitts in the LYRIC in the winter to extend the range a bit more? 😂
I feel like as far as styling, options and power Cadillac has been in the zone for a while now. Great review
Great review as usual. Would like if you could present a comparison chart or graphic for cargo capacity and legroom between the current car you're reviewing, the competitord, and your four alternatives presented later in the video.

Ours is 6 months old and 7000 miles we love it !
Great review as usual. I think the headrest speakers are used for active noise cancellation rather than music. The cabin is pretty quiet when on the road.🇨🇦

Beautiful looking car, good range and base price US. But please real door handles!! Another great review guys 👍👍
The door handles are redesigned for 2024! Love that the car is more oriented towards confort than sporty, our road and speed limits are not made for performance! good job Cadillac! Looking forward to see sedans!

@@BoriVakorn yes there were problems but I think they are worked out now. We had the 12 volt battery die which required towing. We had an issue with rear blinker light. We had issues with OTA updates. Despite those issues we do not regret the purchase. It’s been without issues for months since the initial stuff.
The best car design then of the Chevrolet Suburban of 1992 to 1999. And of course Volvo XC90.
I hope this breathes some new life in the Cadillac brand. In the day I was a Cadillac fan, but of late, Cadillac has struggled to reclaim its former glory.
Traded in my Model Y for a Lyriq…OMG the Lyriq is so much better I almost can express it in words. SO much more comfortable, so much quieter, so much better looking both inside and out. Can’t recommend it over the Tesla enough.

How’s the tech? Cuz i would NEVER trade my Model Y for one! And its rear wheel drive! Yuck! Oh i grew up with Cadillacs. My mother & father both owned them….it looks nice… after owning my Model Y for one year……I’m still in love! Are there things they could improve? Of course….but the tech does it all for me….even the auto pilot is truly amazing! I hope it sells! The more, the merrier!

Made my old Model Y feel like a donkey cart in comparison lol. I was especially disappointed in the noise and ride quality of Model Y which is pretty well-documented. I agree the more the merrier. @@Mindmellow I’ve been in Cadillacs all my life….so i know about the interior……Detroit has been making cars forever, so i know their interior is superior…. And yes my Model Y will probably never equal the suspension…..but my Model Y is quiet! I don’t hear noise….I’m not sure when you bought your car…..but the sound level in mine is fine! But one thing about Teslas…is they were built by tech guys….its not about a screen wrapped around you….its about what works well & seamlessly… i let my coworker drive my car & afterwards, he put an order in…….he was so excited by the technology that he went and road tested everything electric in our area available! He loved the Mercedes….but the tech just didn’t compete…..he couldn’t wait for he model Y performance, so he bought a Mustang Mach E……i drove that……it was ok.. but i was not impressed…..when his performance came in, he kept it for himself & gave the mustang to his wife! my model Y reminds me of my iPhone! Its apple! They don’t bring programs in until they are tested and ready! Unlike the PCs…. I tend to like smaller cars…i drove a Prius (which i loved) for over 10yrs)…then i wanted to try an EV…so i bought a Fiat 500e….& i was very happy with it….what i didn’t like was that it limited me to where i could go because there were really no places to charge at that time but the superchargers! I had mileage envy big time…. I don’t regret my Model Y ….even though now I paid more….i only bought the model y because its a hatchback….its the biggest car i have ever owned….so that I’m still getting used to……. Have fun with your Lyriq…. I will stick to my Tesla - i can’t quit!…. Right now- i am only paying $19/mo in electricity for the use of my car!!! That is awesome…..and the maintenance fees we save!! Thanks for a great review of a vehicle I've been waiting to see reviewed. I wonder if those cargo space numbers are mostly a result of the highly sloped roofline, and in the real world won't actually be smaller effectively speaking. What I'm trying to say is, I don't load cargo higher than the back of the rear seat, so if I measured the depth and width of this Lyriq, I bet it's just as many *square* feet, which is what I'm mostly interested in. I don't suppose you measured the cargo space did you? I think that would be a great bit of extra information. Thanks again!
i got the first one sold in BC Canada and I Really Love it !! I really wasn't a Fan of Electric Car Though !! I Had Gas Engine Cadillac Before and I was Impressed Then But I Am Really Impressed With Lyriq.

I was on the waitlist and I could not wait anymore, I bought model Y instead. I’m so glad I did. I love my model Y
Nice intro to all the bells and whistles now just how long does it take to charge? Charging stations around the country?
Such a handsome vehicle. If I could afford one, I’d order it hahaha
GM’s announcement that they won’t offer Apple CarPlay on all future EV’s is a non starter for me.
I'll wait for the Lyriq-V model, thank you.
I love that song cold by Chris Stapleton. It sounds great on my new NX with mark levinson 17 speakers. The lyric looks awesome.
1990 Miata with all options, package B in the US, was first Miata with the speakers in the headrests... and the first year of the Miata, so it has been available on them from the beginning. In markets that didn't get that option it was available in 1991 on the SE (BRG).

My first car was a 1984 Pontiac Fiero and it had speakers in the headrest.
Ready to see the Acura ZDX version of this. Spy shots are out and it looks pretty good.
what a beautiful car
I saw one in Dundarave recently. Very nice in real life!
I think most people are being silly regarding range. 300 miles of range takes care of over 98% of personal driving. Forcing manufacturers to keep pushing battery ranges is hurting the proliferation of EVs of more moderately priced cars. Charging options are the easiest thing to expand. We need to get more inexpensive EVs out there and really tackle climate change.
16:03 the on-board charger size influences home Level 2 charging only. It is not being used for fast DC charging where the energy flows directly to the battery.
Beautiful car
It's really beautiful for an American car (North American for you Canadians), it will definitely sell well.
Many things to like: front side views are great: the rear is a large bustle. am sure its a nice ride.
Another great review! I agree completely with your thoughts on these gimmicks that certain luxury car makers undertake. Just put on a regular door handle and a physical latch to undue the glove compartment. Seriously, you know these are things that will break unnecessarily with time.

It’s for security and not a luxury thing. In “valet mode” nobody can access the glovebox and a physical latch means you would need a physical key.
That design is so well balanced, Modern and fresh but distinctly American and Cadillac. Those door handles have to go. Much better value, comfort and content that the others 4 you suggested
im not sure how i feel about you always revving and breaking the speed limit in residential areas at the beginning of all your reviews.
I had one preordered, took too long bought a rx 350h iland very happy with my decision not to go forward with the lyric and buy the Lexus instead. I live in Florida in a very congested area I get 40 miles to a gallon with the Lexus. It’s a great handling super comfortable well-built car.

Great review. I am a patient person and have been on the wait list for about a year. My current cars are new/recent so I can wait. I plan to get a 2024 or 2025 AWD Sport 3 with Nappa leather. I saw one last fall at my dealership when GM toured a couple of demos across the country and I was blown away by the styling and interior. I am unconcerned about reliability - I've owned (and still do) Cadillacs and they're very good. Finally - I understand that GM has redesigned the door handles for the 2024 MY vehicles so they will pop out when the car detects the fob nearby. Also, GM plans to change the charging port to the NACS starting in 2025.

Nobody does driving dynamics better than _Cadillac._ People have compared the ride quality of the Lyriq to a Rolls Royce but simultaneously sporty and planted. That’s due to pure driving dynamics as the Lyriq doesn’t ride on air suspension or any active suspension at all. The Acura may be on the stiffer side and have a sportier characteristic, closer to the tuning of what the Chevrolet Blazer EV may be.
How does the heat pump defrost the "outdoor" coil?

Every time I see this car Labrinth's song for it pops in my head.
It’s a tremendous looking car. Inside and out. I think Cadillac has a real winter here, but not yet. When I test drove a 24’ the road noise (that’s piped in) is ridiculous and when you thankfully “turn it off” (which is just turning it down) it just sounds like something is wrong with the car. It handles incredibly stiff, but I will say the one pedal driving is the best I’ve driven. (I’ve had two Tesla’s and have driven about 12 EV’s at various times) The hatchback is very hard to see out of. They definitely need to put the option to always have your back camera up like Tesla does. The ride is pretty rugged on the road, but these are only minor tweaks that can be fixed to be honest. I would imagine the 2026 model will be one of the best/most requested EV’s on the road.
Great honest review. Nothing wrong with doing the same as Mercedes, let's face it. But is it available Mary Barra Blue? I see lip stick red is available.
If they test drive it, you can be assured they will recommend it! Everything they drive is wonderful.

My wife and I are both retired, and we both drive Cadillacs; CTS & XTS. We love the brand and service! I will trade my XTS by end of 2024. Looking at the CT5 with the V^ twin turbo. However, I just had my XTS in for service and they they gave me a Lyriq loaner. The door handle are the new pop-out and I hate them. They feel like the handle on a shed door!. The previous ones were really better. Okay here's what I can't wrap my bran around. If I was to go for the Lyriq, I don't understand all of the different charging lingo. Maybe you could do a video on CHARGING 101. I think most people (like me) just don't understand all of the different charging types ie. level 1, level 2 etc etc. Oh, and Cadillac just announced a smaller EV roughly the size of the XT5. Now that just might be the best deal on a Cadillac EV. You two do the best and most complete reviews. Thank you! Rick in Seattle
I really love Cadillac. I really hated the Wait List. It created more stress and frustration in waiting to make a decision. I ultimately had to go to another Maker, a European Maker.........Audi. Cadillac rushed the car, before working out the Ultium battery issue and getting basic parts. It left Sales in a bind. I leased my car to try out EV. I'll have to find a way to get out of the lease and change Makers without losing my wallet in 3 years.
I thought this was going to be a great EV, had a deposit on one, but as this was going to be our long distance road tripper, the recent poor CCS fast DC charging across Canada, we opted for a Tesla Model Y long Range AWD. Might still go back to this car now that GM has pleged to use Tesla's NACS charging port starting in 2025 EVs, that would be a hit for road tripping in Luxury, style, and quiet comfort! It is a truly great car and the software is just behind Tesla's great system, you cannot beat Goggle Automotive in an EV!
