Your cat is so cute!
Your Montgomery shelf 😍🥰
Wow I would have loved that Nancy Drew collection back in the day. 😍 ❤️
One of my guilty pleasures is browsing other people's bookshelves so videos like this are always fascinating to me. And when I see one of my favourite books in the same edition/cover as I have, its like finding we have a mutual friend we didn't know each other knew ☺

Yes, that is fun, I totally do it too!
Wonderful tour! I definitely organize by genre!
Just found your channel. Finally someone who talks slower and not sounding like they are running from a fire. Very calm and composed! Thank you!

Don't you just hate the trend for booktubers and unboxers to rapid fire talk? And the sharp edits? I can't listen to or deal with that. I read somewhere that it's done to try to hold peoples' attention and make the video more exciting. It turns me off.
Love your cat!
Awesome tour! I love seeing what's on other people's bookshelves!
It's fun to see other people's bookshelves! My main fiction shelves are organized by author's last name. That is the only way my brain can function when I'm looking for books. My tbr bookshelf has shelves designated for specific reading challenges (your 2023 challenge has its own shelf); additional shelves have books I want to read organized by size (looks aestetheticly pleasing). My nonfiction books are also organized by size.
Thank you for the tour! Suggestions for the bottom shelves: put toys or other items for little visitors there which are fine for them to explore; put a basket of items that you don't want to display that can be put on a counter or other out of the way place (tope of washing machine) when the young visitors arrive.
Oh The Silmarillion :) One of my favourite books. I would recommend reading that before The Children of Hurin because "Children" was originally a short story in The Silmarillion. Lovely bookshelves though, I love that I am not the only person who puts nick-nacks and ornaments on my bookshelves too.
Super fun! I'll have to get your favorite quotes from The Story Girl for Clocktower Books. Right now, our books are A MESS. All the years of tucking the everywhere and now we're finally ready to organize as much as possible. I have three new bookcases and my husband is building a window seat between them and then we'll organize all the other stuff. I plan to organize by... Genre/type (some of my vintage/antique books don't fit genres easily so I call those "types"). >Author >alphabetical and/OR series order Exceptions will be my favorite duplicate series or volumes that I'll break up rows with (because I really can't stand straight rows indefinitely. Makes me feel like my walls are striped). We're getting there. Maybe when I get back from my trip!
Lovely shelves! My favorite has to be the Agatha Christie shelf 💕the LM Montgomery shelf has to be the prettiest one. Thank you for sharing them with us. Have a great week ❤️
I organize my books by author. Can't imagine them any other way!
Yayyyyy
Empty shelves! I wouldn't even know what to do with such a treasure. 😆 I'm just a wee bit jealous.
I organize my books using the Rory Gilmore method: organized chaos 😅
Your shelves look so nice!! I’m rearranging and mine are just stacked, but typically I organize by keeping an author’s books together, then genre, and age level. I tried color organization, but I couldn’t find anything.
I would love to see how you do homeschooling with your kids! And also how you get them into reading. It's obviously not everyone's cup of tea, but I've been trying to encourage reading to my kids and they just don't seem to like it 🙈

I talk a lot about homeschooling on my homeschool channel/podcast: www.youtube.com/@IntentionalHomeschooling
Ordering "The Story Girl" right now!
Wonderful tour, Chantel!
Lovely! LOVEEEE the L.M. Montgomery shelf I have some fav authors with their own shelves, then classics by author, genre by author last name. I keep unread books on their own shelves by genre. (3 shelves)
I organize based on hight so tall on the left down to tiny on the right. Visually i prefer the orderly lines
I’ve been waiting for this video!!! Now I’ll have tons of recommendations!
Loved the bookshelf tour, they never get old. I took some screen shots of editions i want and books i want. I arrange my favorite authors together, all series books together and then rainbow. Thank you for the lovely tour. Now the tbr shelf tour ;)
Enjoyed the video! my little heart is trying to recover from the fact that you are abandoning your nancy drew books 🤣🤣. I have a huge collection also. They were some of my favorites as a kid!

I enjoyed them when I was younger too but they just aren't holding up for me. Plus, they are technically my daughter's and she's never enjoyed them.
Nice tour. Currently I have various book classes over the house but we are trying to get all of them moved to one room for a library. It’s taking a long time because it’s not high on anyone’s list but mine! Lol!
I loved Bob too, I read that one last year. And I really enjoy Aggie Morton too. Your Agatha Christie shelf looks great!
I have my books organized by loose categories then by author.
Loved it!!
I always love taking a peek at people's bookshelves! Mine need to be organized desperately.. I usually do them with the new school year and that didn't happen this year since I didn't have as much to switch out. I think some toys for littles would be good. Or something boring in a basket that you can't see down into. In the bottom of one of our bookshelves that is near our kitchen I have a plastic bin with a HUGE bag of rice down inside it. I pull it out when I need to refill the smaller one from the kitchen.

Great idea, the bottom shelves used to hold toys for the foster kids but I do still have some baby toys for when babies come over, I'll have to find a basket.
5:04 😮😍 beautiful! Which Jane Austen Editions are these? I love your classic, Agatha Christie and Montomery collections. I want to read my first Christie soon. I have collected some of her books in little free library

Aren't they?! They're the Wordsworth Collectors Editions: amzn.to/3DzW2aF
Awww. I love tara-leigh cobble and the bible recap too? Have you listened to candace cameran bure podcast? Tara-leigh isthe guest host😊
Beautiful! "This plant wants to be in focus cuz it thinks it's really cool"🤣 i organize by genre and author but have to make exceptions due to space or lack thereof! It's always fun organizing books. Sometimes i do that more than the actual reading😄
Did you find those lovely Anne of Green Gables copies on Book Outlet or somewhere else? That’s the version I’m keeping my eyes peeled for.
I organize first by genre. I used to then do it alphabetically, but I tried rainbow and actually really like it. I thought it would make it hard to find things but I generally know what a book looks like and remember what colour I’m looking for. And kids can group colours easier than alphabetizing😄
Love it! My shelves are done by author and genre (based on my favorites first). My TBR shelves are arranged by books on my list to be read this year and then those that I would like to get to at some point.

That's a cool way to organize!
