We know that reliability is not their strong point, but it's an old, tired talking point and not big enough factor anymore. They're #1 in the luxury segment, so either they're reliable enough or they're not as unreliable as all the survey worshipers believe. Lets see the proof of poor build quality?

This vehicle is a ROCKET!! Previously owning multiple 7 series then buying a M8 comp...Bmw provides the ultimate driving experience...she is FAST!!!

This is like perfect 2 car garage material. Get a truck/suv for work/family duty and then this for anything else.

slightly used would do the wallet better, around my area a 2020 bmw m8 comp with 10 k miles is around 96k

There is a cheaper m8 model called the m850i, it is basically the same with a very slight performance downgrade and a huge price decrease.. It does have the same engine

The M8 Competition is a beauty of a car, one of the best looking BMWs I think have ever been made. And who can't forget about that insane beast of a V8? That 4.4L V8 is just a monster in this M8. 617 HP and 553 lb ft of torque is nothing to scoff at, and we all know that the Germans are conservative when it comes to power figures, so definitely this is making close to 700 HP no doubt. I mean BMW claims 3 seconds for this to go from 0-60 mph, but I'm sure it's like mid-2 second range for sure, maybe 2.5 seconds. And yes, that ZF 8-speed that we all know and love is just amazing. BMW has definitely found the perfect way to tune this 8-speed to feel very quick, almost dual clutch levels of shift quality, despite this being a torque converter automatic.

Hi Ben, For a Fast daily driver, which one would you pick? RS7 or this? (I need a fun 4 door) thanks!

Not Ben but, in my opinion it really depends on what you prefer. Rs7 looks amazing inside and out but not as fast as the m8 definitely. Rs7 holds their value way better than m8s also is a lot more comfortable daily driving. In my opinion a lot more reliable in terms of boot space and suspension. On the other hand the m8 is a absolute monster. Much quicker than the rs7 and much more fun to drive. Aggressive looking as well with the quad tip exhaust. Only thing is it drops value like a rock. I would buy a used m8 if that’s your choice to save tons of money. You can probably get a used 2022 or 2021 ( same as 2023) for 100k. My opinion would be the rs7 for the daily driving. Although my heart really goes to m8 for the fun driving experience. All in all, it really depends on what you value more: reliability/comfort vs aggressive/fast. I currently drive a 2023 Audi rs3 and I absolutely love it. Very fun on the road just not luxurious at all.

Plus you can turn the AWD off for rear-wheel drive. That also forces the traction control off. Have fun

@@kerunbindra4053 I bought mine about 2 months ago. Very comfortable for a M car. It handles remarkably well for its size. If I have to complain about something it would be its size. It's a large car and sort of makes you feel like you can't fit on small roads. It's hard to judge where the wheels are when driving. After you get used to the feel and size, It's a great car. It took a lot of adjusting for me to feel confident in the M8. I have previously owned 2 F82s, 1 F80 and a 911 so the large M8 was an adjustment. I think The M8 would do well on the track but not sure the M4 would do better. Over all it is a very nice car. It's the prettiest car in the BMW line up. I wish I had this when I was 18. All the women I have showed it to love it and when they ride in it, well lets just say I think I could get lucky... LOL

@@MauriceBln1 Not even an option like it is on all the other M cars. Other M cars come with the option but you lose the carbon. I guess they need the 10 pound reduction to achieve the 0-60 in 3 seconds. I wonder how much weight I have lose to achieve better performance? lol

Guess you haven't priced a Porsche lately. Base 911 will cost you the same money as this beast with virtually no options or AWD. Service costs are free for 3 years with BMW and Porsche is 2. You can barely buy a used 2017 911 C4S for 115K, the market is crazy

911 is not this kind of car. Its way sportier, and not made for touring. This is less sportier, but much better for touring. I've been in a 911 before as a passenger, and it is rough on your ass.. Cobble stone, speed bumps, pot holes etc.

it looks kinda cheap on the inside but its horrifyingly expensive... however It sounds sexy and it looks sexy ( from the outside) and is rly fast and likely rly nice to drive but is it worth the price ... NO.
