The car is absolutely gorgeous, but how on earth do you not have a front axle lift for a car of that expense that is so low and how do you not have Apple CarPlay. The interior also desperately needs modernization. But on the outside I don’t think there’s anything more beautiful on the road. The depreciation on the car is gargantuan and you can pick up at 2019 was under 10,000 miles for about $200,000. If I ever got one, I would retrofit a front axle lift and Apple Car play for sure.

Aston Martin are one of my favorite high end automobiles, they knocked it out the park with this model. Absolutely superb.

The music on this video. Perfect, just that Bond feel then the transition. Finally the crescendo! Well done.

Honestly, I am absolutely thrilled that you guys drove this car and reviewed it! I am so happy! Ever since Aston Martin released the DBS, it has been on the Grand Tour, and I did not like that episode when the verdict said the car was not good (in a way). But from the bottom of my heart, this car is absolutely special! Very few cars can do what it does! It is like falling in love with driving and cars all over again! It brings the romance into driving! The drama, the romance and the elegance, and like you guys said, the 'cool'! It is absolutely stunning! And what a design! Thank you TH, you guys made my day! I really wish that in the future I am able to drive this car one day, just for a few hours! This, and the Lexus LC500 (that car has a great interior, and it is somehow sensational)!

The intro of this video was the best I've ever seen. The Doug skit was great. However, the b roll footage w/ the music was everything. As always, nice job w/ this review.

I agree that missing Apple CarPlay is a bummer, but I had my dealer upgrade my 2020 DB11 AMR with CarPlay and it's great! The upgrade is seamless and looks and feels factory installed.

@@Doofunator Top Gear fell into too much formulaic use of the "tobacco smoke" filter and smoke pots, which can add a romanticized effect if used sparingly. They didn't.

OMG I laughed so hard at the beginning. Wasn't expecting to see Doug. Love this channel and love this DBS!

The commentary was fantastic, the honesty and relatability. I've eyed an Aston for at least a decade, it took that long for it to become possible and I truly appreciate and needed this video. Since I am admittedly the world's worst rear-wheel drive pilot I'm going to have to stick to BMW M Cars with AWD :( I'd be the only person to walk and go, "Can you knock off about 200 HP..."

To me the DBS Superleggera is a modern icon, mostly because it serves as the rival to the 812 Superfast. Both are cars that do not fit into our current world, with their beautiful lines and their loud V12s. Yet they exist and stand proud as the epitome of a long forgotten breed of car, the luxury grand tourer. A kind of car that had it's glory days well in the past. However together with the Bentley Continental GT they show us how truly magical a GT can be, even today.

Love the Doug cameo intro and the video overall. The DBS gives me mad Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series vibes. Insane HP, Insanse TQ, Traction Control holding on to dear life when pushing it hard. Love it!

Funny that you mentioned the LC500 at the end of the video. I was thinking of how much I would rather have that than the AM from the start of the video when you mentioned it being a grand touring car. I know looks are subjective, but the LC is one of the best looking automobiles I've ever seen. Great review btw!

Twill carbon fibre is still a type of woven carbon fibre. Normal carbon fibre is in a checker board pattern - under, over , under, over like a wicker basket. The twill weave skips every second square so it looks more like lots of little rectangles offset by half kinda like a brick wall (without the grout), rather than lots of little squares, twill quite often being the preferred visual appearance of the woven carbon fibres.

Nice catch but also goes to prove their point on the review of the Astons presence. The McLaren driving by just was overlooked by most as it passed the Aston. They always command a presence at shows and as awesome as a McLaren is almost, they all start to feel like a "common" car in the higher end car world. They are my favorite though...

I used to own an Aston. DB-9. Beautiful car. Black/black. Red caliper brakes. Best car I ever owned/drove in terms of classy/cool. He is right, when you have the AM badge staring at you while driving it just adds an extra sense of gratification knowing you are driving the car of 007! It does mean something. Because as we know there has been a long established history of AM and 007. Long one. So that’s so cool in itself. I love this DBS. I also really liked the previous DBS model (Casino Royale). I miss that one.

I've always LOVED how Aston's look, but only on the outside. I've been disappointed in the interior spec on every. single. car. I really love how Aston's look, but I just don't understand how they can be selling these at even HALF the price they're asking with interiors like that. Now, the exterior and engine of an Aston with the interior of a Bentley would be an unbeatable combo!

This is too funny! I just recently watched Doug 'Da Man' Demuro's review of the Lotus Emira and opined that his assessment of the gear box was a tad different that what Thomas had stated. Love them all and the collaboration that these car reviewers do is just awesome!!

Aston continues to make one of the few of these crazy luxury cars that can be dropped in on any piece of scenery and never look out of place. I could imagine this at the Vatican just as well as someone's driveway and it'd look just as at home regardless.

It's weird, because it's usually more humble cars that earn that kind of status. Like the Golf, the Mini, and older Mercedes sedans.

Luxury car that rattles at highway speeds? 😂😂😂 Car that will be worth the same as a used Lexus in 10-15 years with 20 broken things? The car is very pretty and sounds gorgeous, but $400k? you have to be a special kind of dumba** to say it’s worth it
