very spoiled here with scenery, gets very diverse in a short distance. I hope to really showcase that in an upcoming video I need to complete which goes from a surf beach to snow on the mountain in about 3 hours.

I love mine the only complaint I really have about the seat is that it is quite firm but the shape is fantastic. I might look into getting a gel insert put in, but I’ll probably just get used to it before that.

Yeah, I think it's going to be a very individual thing for everyone. Shape is great, I guess I might have a different opinion after doing the north island 800 in a few months time.

Great videos! What's your current vlogging set up? Clearly voice sounds. clear video footage and little wind noise is impressive.

Thanks, really appreciate that. I'm using gopros, hero 9 and 10 with the max lens mod when doing POV shots chin mounted on the helmet. Also have the gopro audio adapter for 3.5mm rode lavalier mics (rode lavalier ii and rode go mic) with a home made wind sock / dead cat. I'm finding the gopro audio adapter is starting to cut audio in and out randomly so have got the media mod to try which looks to solve that issue.

Spectacular bike and scenery! I suffered lower back pain with Harley feet forward Softail. I generally seem to prefer firm seat and pelvis rotated forward not back. Any lower back problems or other discomfort with this? I’m also considering Z900RS. Any comments gratefully received.

Alot of people seem to complain about the seat being to hard, I kinda like how it is especially with the hump just behind to keep you in place. I did over 800km in a day on this bike, there is a video of it on here (north island 800) the parts that were aching at the end were just above my knees and my fore arms from such a long time (13 hours). Everything else felt fine.

I also found the seat is quite comfortable. Even more comfortable than the previous generation (I had a 2016). P.S. I love the roads around Te Awamutu, but whats with the 80kph straight road zones?

  • @LindseyExplores

They all used to be 100kph but a couple of years ago government changed alot of the zone requirements around the country which seemed to hit Te Awamutu hard. That's why I would often be seen above the limit as I'm still stuck with 100kph in my head!

@@LindseyExplores Oh wow that's terrible. Same as Auckland, in fact there are virtually no more 100kph roads from Warkworth to Pukekohe other than SH1, SH16, and SH20

Hey man, I'm picking mine up in 2 weeks and was just looking at buying a paddock stand. Does it have holes for bobbins?

Can you tell me more about the turning radius? Can it do a U turn on a small lane road without have to lean over too much or have to do a 3 point turn?

that's something I haven't really paid that much attention to, I will have a video out in the next couple of weeks after some testing and measurements around town.

is it a stiff bike, you feel comfortable when riding all sort of roads? or is is stiff and bumpy like a sport bike? You feel comfortable like for example to take a weekend trip for about 700km?

  • @LindseyExplores

I feel comfortable on any road type with this, sealed, unsealed, bumpy etc. I would not hesitate to do a big weekend trip, thats actually the plan once the bags become available here, a big trip of the south island in New Zealand. I will be better at answering this question end of October after a 12 hour 800km ride we are going on.

Is it possible to rent such bike on NZ? I am from Europe… would not make sense to get my bike there and ride for a 2 weeks :-)

Hiring a 2022 XSR900 here in New Zealand would be impossible, only about 8 of them in the entire country at this stage. There are companies here that hire a range of motorcycles for doing tours though, usually from Christchurch as most tourists want to do the South Island.

very tame, I used it in the rain a bit but opted to use mode 3 instead after a while, was not responsive enough for my liking.
