i got my first bike yesterday, and its an r7 as well. can't wait to spoil it with all these beautiful mods. hope they are available in my country. really loved the bike, i chose black because everyone was saying its more beautiful than the blue, but i wasn't convinced, however seeing your bike, i think i made the right choice. thanks for sharing, ride safe.

In my opinion black is way nicer than blue and also they have made less blacks than blues so it makes it even cooler to own one! Congrats on joining the club and be safe! The weather here is sleepy getting nice again so I’ll be posting more soon! Good luck and ride safe!! 🫡

@@SpookyR7 I tried to get that integrated tail light which is absolutely sexy on your bike, but it says it's unavailable and I have a feeling it won't be, the same goes for that dark smoke windscreen. also that "Aluminum Flanged Top Yoke Nut M22x(1.00mm) (Open)" don't ship to my country, I was really trying to kind of make my bike look like yours the best I can, but sadly a lot of things are just not available in here and probably won't be for a long time. Thumbs up for choosing that beautiful location for the shoot. Can't wait to see more of your videos.

Know this video is old but have you installed the Vf designs turn signals yet?

Awesome work bro! Did you tune the bike when you got the SC Project? I know it's a pretty open system so did you notice the bike running too lean or being jerky? I installed a full Black Widow exhaust 2 weeks ago and at first it was running smooth like butter - now it seems like the sensor is compensating for the new sysem and it feels very jerky & unresponsive. I think I need a tune.

I haven't done a tune yet mainly because i am waiting to change my air filter for a better one and after I do that I want to get it dynoed and professionally tuned. but i do also feel it running different than before.

Can you do a video or a a KZread Short of the exhaust install. Only ones I see are for the mt 07 and not for the actual r7. Having trouble with the “z” bracket they sent

I will try to take it off and make a video, I remember I had trouble with that bracket too it was a lot of playing around with it until it worked.

Good work man and nice video I'm picking up a 2023 R7 and the question that I'm concerned with is I'm looking to get the SC project exhaust as well but the question I have is do you have to do an ECU Flash or a power commander after you do a full exhaust install if so did you have someone do it or did you do it yourself

Here is the thing, it might not be a reliable source, but my friend is a Harley mechanic, he told me a flash is not absolutely required, its good and better but not needed right away, I have been running my SC for a year now with the OEM ECU and I have had no problems with anything. That's not to say that I do want to get it done eventually

Great video quality! How does r7 compare to r6? I know they have different purposes, but would you say the r7 gets slow after a while, like you get bored of it or is the power enough? Talking about street riding, some highway pulls, some canion riding, maybe a couple of track days per year. Thanks in advance!

I know your question is 3 months old but to answer it. R6 is a lot of fun, if you live in the city with a lot of stoplights and you follow the laws of the road it gets a little boring lol. The R7 feels a little more fun due to the low-end torque. Now if you are talking speed it's R6, but for what you're asking canyon rides and some highway pulls and a few track days it's perfect. Just because some people own an R6 or R1 does not mean they can ride better. I've seen 300s and 400s outride 600s and 1000s, not in speed but in skill. The R7 is the perfect in-between bike, you will have a blast. I mean I've personally topped mine out at 145mph (in Mexico lol) but I ran out of road and had to slow down. I mean it's not the fastest bike but it will beat any modern-day car short of a Tesla. I have had mine for just over a year and it's still a lot of fun. I'm not bored of its power, it is rare you will even use all of it's power. Just like most 600s and 1000s, it's rare to get to use it's full potential unless you are constantly breaking laws lol. Some people do that and some people don't. So it is up to you to decide exactly what you want. 9/10 times this bike will be more than enough for the everyday rider and occasional rule breaker. Still nimble and quick enough to outrun the police, but safe enough for a first bike.

How you get the yoke nut stem to the phone mount mine didn’t fit at all bought the one you posted and it was too big was curious if you got a smaller one?

I realize I didnt post the adapting piece, I had the same problem I bought the one I posted but later had to buy a different stem piece to fix the problem and just add the x grip to it. let me find you the link and I'll send it to you.

how do you feel going from an r6 to an r7? 10 years ago i had a gsxr600 and im looking to get a new bike in the spring. im torn between an r7 or a zx6r. possibly spending the few extra grand for an r6 since ive always wanted one

I feel like personally I have more fun with the R7 than with the R6 because I do mostly street riding so the power in the R7 is a lot less(not saying it’s not fast as f*** lol) but you can enjoy it more in the streets, the R6 had to options 1. Stopped and 2. Max speed lol

Hey I just picked up a 22 r7 and heard that it gets unlocked a lil at 600 miles oil change was just wondering if that’s true

I don’t believe it “unlocks” i more think that what people refer to is that when you do that first oil change allows you to rev the bike higher and red line it. I know you could technically always do that, but the engine break-in period is 1000 miles so the mechanics and Yamaha recommends to take it easy for the first 600 miles

Why are you putting 93 octane in a bike that the recommended is 86? Performance or something?

Manual reads "Recommended: Unloaded Gasoline" which premium gas is right after it reads "Octane number (R+M)/2: 86 or higher" (Pg. 4-15) basically as long as you are using at least 86 or higher your engine will run probably the same. Why do I personally run 93 and 100 octane? Because it is what was used to get the tune on my ECU and because where I get my gas they put additives to clean the engine and exhaust.

why do u put premium gas in ur tank? doesnt manual say regular unleaded

91 will give you slightly better performance, 87 works just fine. You are always able to run a higher grade futrell even in your car, however, if your car or bike requires premium you must always put premium never lower. Also $9 to fill up the thank with premium doesn’t really hurt me personally.
