Liked it so much I bought one, too! Silver 22 WRX Limited

Congrats!
I've got a limited in orange and I love it. Handles like a champ! About 4500 miles now, so well broken in. I'm averaging 31.0 mpg. Would buy another in a second. Also bought a spare tire, but had to wait 2 months for the tire to be delivered.

Awesome! Did you get the manual or auto? Love the orange!

@@703Speed It's the manual. Mileage over the entire 4.5K is actually 30.7, but for the past 1K its 31.0. But I also don't abuse the accelerator, and most of my driving is highway miles.

@@gladdy02 I live in a rural area, so most of my miles are highway, vice city. While I enjoy the acceleration that the WRX can provide, I don't abuse the accelerator.

Perfect daily and good in all weather conditions since I’m not really a truck guy

Thank you for the in depth review
I ordered mine and it should be here sometime this month. I've been watching videos of 22WRX reviews and your review is probably one of the most comprehensive reviews. You covered basically everything except underneath the vehicle. Thank you. Very informative!

How do you go about ordering one of these? Is that done through a dealership? If so, did they throw any markup on it?
@AGM88E

@maglerdon Yea, ordered through the dealership and there was no mark-up. However, I will say that the mark-up is dealer to dealer contingent. Find yourself a non-shady dealership.

Great review, lots of good information! I’ve never owned or driven a manual car (except practicing for 30 minutes in a friend’s car) and this car really makes me want to learn manual and buy one. I’ve always wanted an AWD and I’ve always liked how the WRX looks. This newer style isn’t my favorite but I don’t find it ugly, either.

Very well done young man. Although I would have liked to hear a bit more about the performance aspects of the manual transmission.

Fantastic review. I have just purchased a 2022 WRX and it’s the RS model. It’s basically the same as the car that you showed. I’m hoping to pick it up in the next week and I can’t wait. It was a beautiful car to drive. Thanks for showing me all of its features.👍

The RS is an impreza, not a WRX.
I've got a 2018 accord 2.0T with a 10 speed Auto transmission. I've had the car since late 2018 and have been looking for an upgrade and this has caught my eye. Originally I hated the plastic cladding but it is growing on me now and I actually dont mind it. I've been looking into getting a a new brz/gr86 but finding one at msrp or even getting one in general right now is just not realistic unless I want to pay 5k-15k over msrp + 6 months to a year wait, so far all my subaru dealerships around me have these wrx's in stock and are not up-charging on them, planning on taking a test drive in one of these babies in a few weeks. Thank you for your in depth detailed video, one of the better videos i've found.

Get it. You wont regret it, ive driven every Gen of the wrx and the 2022 is the best hands down. I cant stop driving it. I was a hater of the looks at first as well and now i love everything about it, the bumper, the cladding, i love it all. The cladding also protects the paint from all the salt/snow/dirt roads i deal with in Northern Canada.

@@8JFJK8 I live in the States, specifically Tennessee and the winters here are not super bad but since i live in the country with lots of ice i’ve always wanted an AWD vehicle. I do snowboard often in North Carolina and West Virginia and I can never take my accord up those roads, always have to end up riding passenger in my cousins Crosstrek which is really nice too. I appreciate you’re input and can’t wait to test drive one. I test drove a 2020 wrx base last year and it was enjoyable but I didn’t get it because the base came with literally 0 technology compared to my accord but this new WRX has almost the same amount of technology as the accord now.
@8JFJK8
Жыл бұрын
@@pyrojm1916 Yeah i got the base and its got everything i need. The infotainment is good enough for me, the A/c climate control is easy to use, heated seats, bluetooth, backup camera, the sound system is wayyy better then many people make it out to be, only thing i wish the base had is keyless ignition so i can pre-heat my car before i go outside. Atleast the heated seats get nice and toasty fast.
@pyrojm1916
Жыл бұрын
@@8JFJK8 Does the manual transmission allow for a pre-heat option or is it CVT only? My commute to University is roughly 40 minutes each day and my Accord is auto but I have a miata as well that is manual so I know how to drive manual. Since you own one would you recommend getting the CVT or manual for daily driving?
@8JFJK8

@@pyrojm1916 the manual has the keyless ignition (pre-heat) option but i think only in the limited/premium model. I have the manual, i would never get a WRX with CVT. I live where its -30 consistently in the winter and i can live without, youll be just fine down there lol.
Great review! Seriously considering one of these now haha, not many (if any) new cars in this price range with these features and a manual

Also, if the cars behind you start honking just ignore them and take your time. It'll be okay, just accept that you will stall out and miss gears, but it becomes 2nd nature, especially if it's your only car.

I love Subaru products!! I will afford it bro.
Can some one with experience please answer this question for me. Let’s say I go to a Subaru dealership right and I want to order my own custom wrx right keep in mind I have more then what the cars actually worth but I have ZERO credit score would they even bother trying to help me out or would they more then likely turn me away? But I have the money to pay it off that exact same day
@Tretzye

Basically would they order my wrx or would they just simply turn me away do to fact of having zero credit? Is it a 50 50 or a 0% shot?
The CVT does not upshift or downshift lol That's why it "feels quick" there is no shifts in a CVT Even if you have shifters it's not real shifting, it's just an electronically controlled revs just to make you feel there is no shifting

That button actually locks the back windows, if its pressed down, the driver cant even roll the back down, and I assume the front seat passenger cant roll there's down either, I'll never ride in that seat, so I'll never know

The price is too high. It's more of a problem of the market, than the actual price. I think if the Limited was available for under $34K it's a no brainer.

@Denny Slim Sit The premium with sun and sound package is the sweet spot. What other sport sedan with awd and a 6mt can you find for cheaper?
@diallo1347

I do wish the premium came with more of the safety features (blind spot sensor, Emergency braking). My wife is fine with me buying this car but the compromise is that it has to be Sage and the Limited is bit more than I was hoping to spend.
