Excellent coverage, as usual. The filming of this (and the 18' skiff series from the same camera boat) is a level above anything else online, and we winter-bound sailors are grateful! What I don't understand is the Aussie fixation on line honours. Put a modern 18' skiff against a 10-year-old one or an FD or a National 18 or a 505, and the modern 18 will invariably win. Commanche has a massive advantage in anything over 5k of breeze and should be expected to smash the other 100 footers as well as the mini maxis. Of COURSE they'll take line honours...

Kudos to the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia for covering this race without using helicopters. Because of the limitations of drones, there must have been several boats deployed to support drone flights, as well as several camera boats. Linking all of the video and audio equipment would require some powerful radio gear, and that is probably why the commentators are mobile. Andoo Comanche is a exciting boat to watch, as it is handled very well, and executes sail changes nicely. Really hard to understand what happened to Wild Oats 11, as she is generally a close competitor.

Is this the first time that the studio has been on a boat? The video at the start shows the production crew sitting in a cabin cruiser, perhaps this is a way to keep from losing radio links with the helicopters and camera boats. Andoo Comanche is showing her ability to make good pace. Her design is so unusual, with the wide beam, but she has proven her speed repeatedly.
