Scania's been a major player in Brazilian truck market for decades. Their engines are known for great efficiency, reliability and power. If Scania can thrive in our harsh roads here, I'm sure they'll do great in the USA.

@@nabhanruwayfi9574 It depends on wich state you are in and how good are their dealers there. There's actually a poor supply chain for parts and expensive services on most states, except for the Southeast and South regions. Volvos are known here for being cheaper and easier to purchase, but expensive to fix. Back in the 90's they used to say Volvos were both unbreakable and unfixable, since they're able to work without problems for several years, and when the first problem comes, you better have either a full wallet or a good towing company to carry the vehicle away for scrapping. Be sure you'll spot old N10's and B58/B10M buses on our roads, they're still around. Despite the high cost of maintenance, Volvo is a really popular brand. Last year, Volvo Trucks sold 21.823 units, versus 15.601 Scania. Volvo is actually the 3rd on the National sales ranking, beneath Volkswagen/MAN as the 1st (37.462) and Mercedes-Benz as the 2nd (33.089) ones. Volvo offers a wide range of models, and their medium duty VM (a Brazilian Renault Midlum with an MWM International engine and Eaton Fuller - or Volvo I-Shift - gearbox) sells as fresh baked pies. Scania's P series is known as comfortable but costly, specially the ones equipped with DC09 5cyl engines. The Cummins DC07 is just starting to make its way on the market, but usually Volvo VM's, Volkswagen Constellation and Mercedes Atego are more popular among independent truck drivers and frotists.
