Awesome video. I had star head bolts on my winch, even trying to be careful of course one of the heads stripped. Went to the auto parts store and replaced with a proper bolt. Not sure why Polaris is obsessed with hex and star head bolts. It was kind of a pain, but I have very little mechanical skills and got it done. Thanks again.

It must be that they are less expensive is my guess why they use them

Awesome video thanks. What I did was remove the 4 bolts from the winch then the 2 bolts below the fair lead for the winch. I then used a pry bar to lift the winch then stuck a Deep socket under the winch to hold it up. I then had a clear path to the fill plug, I used a long extension to remove the plug and used the same type pump you used with a long hose to pump the fluid in, worked great.

As with vehicles a good point is to Start with removing the fill plug before the drain plug. If somethings happens with the fill plug and cant open, your vehicle now has no diff fluid in it! Other wise great video thanks.

Looking forward to the review on this machine. Just a comparison to the Honda that I have. Not really partial to any, but maybe some day I could be. Thanks for tutorial.

Well I'm not impressed about my 2023 sportsman 450 ho. I had to park it for an entire month because polaris had issues with them shorting out and catching fire. After all that time the solution they came up with is to tape the wires. I wish I'd bought from a different manufacturer.

So far so good with mine. It really sucks when manufacturing defects put a bad taste in a guys mouth

I heard the click when you reached the appropriate torque spec.

Just bought a 2023 570, haven’t got it yet, but this video will definitely help going forward, btw, any idea on service intervals for this fluid replacement after the 25 hour break in?

I'd have to look in the book but I want to say it's once a year but if it's driven in water alot it's more regular

Always ALWAYS get the fill plug off first in case you goober it up. Been there learned that 😂 nothing worse than draining then relazing that the fill is stuck. 12 ft pounds on fill/drain plugs, which is in poor man's terms is not much tighter than hand tight

You don't have to do all this... You can drain and fill it right as it sits with winch intact. I just changed the drive shaft seal, didn't remove a thing

@chadcovey1626 pretty tough to get any tools in there without taking off the winch on mine
