Out of all the smaller sedans, I’d go with the CLA45. Cool race, it was VERY good!

I am thinking to buy S3 or AMG 35 which why would you recommend plz??

A35 is quicker. The new S3 with 306hp n 295lb ft tq I think would win. I do love that little A35 tho it’s 7 sp DCT snaps off gears quicker imo then the Audi DSG.

Nope it needs to be even stop trying to get a 1 up on the mercedes. Audi S3 2023 has 302 hp 295 torque merc a35 2023 has 306 hp 400 torque still wins.

I have this a35 amg fully stock, best quarter mile time has been 12.4.. with passenger seat taken out.. 1/8 best time has been a 7.8.. IMO these cars have some potential, imagine with some built ons

You just need a Rennetech tune.. I have a cla45, with a tune, it’s very close to M3/4 fast.

@@artemusp1894 I took it to the track, and those were my best times from the rest of the runs..12.9 then took passenger seat off and a few more things out the trunk, and improved to a 12.4. Now I need to go back and try it out, with new upgrade jb4

It's always nice to see the real world results. The posted times of manufacturers and the automotive press are typically optimal and difficult for the average person to replicate.

@@fabianramos4 according to Car and Driver, the A35 does 60 in 4.3 and the M235i Gran Coupe does 4.2 to 60. Would be interesting to see how close that looks in real life.

I just got mine this December ( 2022 A35 hatch). But I agree, I haven't seen another one on the road. CLA 45 will be faster in straight line given its higher HP and TQ but maybe not by that much (just my guess based on 0-60 time)

Here in the states, A35 is no longer. Was only 20/21. Now the only 35`s are the GLB and CLA. Amd maybe the GLC

It’s a pity that you don’t get the 228 kW (300+ hp) 8V S3 there, as I believe it would have been an even closer race between the two. Here in South Africa, we have had the 206, 210 and 228 kW on sale in the 8V S3 model.

Not discontinued, the same thing was said about the Golf R when the production of the Mk7 was coming to an end (in the US). Sure, that particular Golf R was going to be discontinued, but the Mk8 was right around the corner and would replace it. And now look, the US is getting the Mk8 R, so the Golf R wasn’t actually being discontinued, it was just that generation that was being discontinued. Not sure what was the reason behind it, but my guess is to have people buy more because they think they won’t get it anymore. Same thing with the RS3, just watch.

That’s Audis biggest problem is the top speed! They can’t ever seem to figure that out! If they can figure out the whole top speed thing and the timing chain issues they’d be such a fun tuner car! Almost beating all their compilations

2016+ don’t have any timing chain issues anymore. and all it takes is a tune and that top speed you are looking for is there. I’ve hit 170 in mines with ease

It will be close but the S3 should win as long as everything is stock on both cars.

@@skylinedrag Except from a gig with launch control but ya the 15 extra hp and tq made the difference once they were rolling. Surprised me. I know the new Mk8 Golf R beats this a35 quite handily though. I watched it on Carwow. Plus the 2022 version of the S3 get a 20 hp bump so probably it would win if they used the newest s3.

I was digging the new look of the Cla line, but after seeing all the Audi lines, the Mercedes really coppied the look as the rear looks similar.

You're obviously not using the launch control properly. Otherwise you'd hear the car idling at around 3.000rpm and when you release the brake it'll shoot off. Maybe it works differently in the US cars but that's how the LC works here in Germany. I can clearly see you stomping the gas but you have to hold gas and brake down at the same time to use the LC and just release the brake.

-25hp for the wrap on the S3

I have an s3 2020, I will not trade it for anything.

I think AMG will win. I’m stage 1+ which is 290 HP on my GLI which covers my warranty and I was neck and neck with the S3 on a roll. That AMG has AWD and the power to match. I think AMG got this.

S3 looks tuned(exhaust/tinted tailights and window), A35 full stock. Am I right? Both looks amazing from back. Classic sedans that I love.

It’s not tuned or else it would have won. Both stock, Catback exhaust on the S3 doesn’t add any power, it needs a turboback to make a difference.

@@skylinedrag yeah it doesn’t on the S3, many people run stock Catback on their A3 even at the 500whp mark cause the stock Catback doesn’t restrict it, only the downpipe does. But this car doesn’t have one of those, just a Catback.

Test drove that A35 about a year ago. It didn't feel any fast than my Scion TC.. Now I get it's a Mercedes and all, but $50k for a car that doesn't feel any faster than a Scion? Give me a break

I find Mercedes drivers to be a$$holes and Audi drivers to be zen, thus I bought the S3. Love it, but damn that A35 looks nice, still tho.

The S3 will win. Simply more power and more performance. I’d love to see the A45S sedan version if it’s available to vs the RS3

As anyone which did not modify himself own car, the owner didn't even know how much weight gain his s3 due to modification, but surely it did gain. More than that, a modified car using stock maps ..sometimes is slower than STOCK one. Anyway, there was shown a difference of about 20 to 30bhp for A35. Nice cars, but both of them wearing badges which LIE😂.. one of those are build by vw on in hause platform&engine, the other one is builded with renault and even other brands helping. But that's the trend, even bmw destroyed own 2er series when newer one become.. fwd bias with transverse engine.. a shitty cheap solution which pissed on sport cars bmw heritage FOR MONEY.

I hate that car manufacturers more so BMW and Mercedes water down their line with these low end cars. BMW and Mercedes have like 50 models. It used to be a privilege to have a BMW , Mercedes or an Audi now you can get one if you make 15 grand a year 🤣
